Shin Seiki Evangelion (Neo Genesis Evangelion), A First Look
Finally! One of the most awaited new TV anime series,
Shin Seiki Evangelion has started today! It has broadcasted from
TV-Tokyo network, every Wednesday on 18:00-18:30.
Shin Seiki Evangelion is the brand new TV anime series from
the most cult animation studio in Japan, GAINAX. This new series was
rumored to appear in this spring, but because of many reasons
it was put off until today. After the long silence after the
end of 'Nadia, Mysterious Sea of Wonder', GAINAX has just come back
with the hottest enthusiasm!!
Evangelion is the science fiction series which is based in the
future Neo Tokyo-3 in 2015. Story of the battle between human and mysterious
enemy called the Apostles. Evangelion is the name of human's final
weapon system, a giant robot.
The first episode titled 'Shito Shuurai' (Attack of the Apostles)
was the story until the appearance of Evangelion. Opening high
density animation drawn by Yuu Honda has been perfectly fits to the
theme tune titled 'Zankoku na Tenshi no Teze'. Unexpectedly familar
pop tunes of this song was composed by Hidetoshi Sato.
Overall picture quality conducted by Shunji Suzuki was pretty
good but there has been a little flaw probably because production schedule.
Character design was done by Masayuki (Macross Plus) and Yoshiyuki
Sadamoto (Nadia, Wing of Honnemayth), which was familar to the
GAINAX fans. High tension and specutacular presentations directed
by Hideaki Anno will never betray the expectation by the seasoned
fans. This first episodes has been filled with the premonitions to the
masterpiece. Yes, GAINAX is back!! Most promissing series in
this year has started! You must never miss it! I will give this
series four point five of five stars. Little minus is for the unstable
picture quality, but this is negligible. Recommended to any type of
anime fans!

HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!
If anyone could be persuaded to make a copy of this episode of S.S.
Evangelion for me, any tape format (VHS, Beta, 8MM, U-matic, whatever), I
(and the whole crew from AWA) would be eternally grateful... one thing
tho- *I need it by October 23th at the latest!!!*
I will be happy to trade a tape of various Corn Pone Flicks fan parody
stuff (BAD III, the CPF shorts, and other stuff) or other material we
have... (unreleased material for US, of course)
I am prepared to pay whatever shipping required to get the tape here by
Oct. 23... next-day, overseas, etc- unless it's truly extreme.

easily recongize Sadamoto's style, but I didn't recongize Masayuki's
"Angular face" style.

Yeah, but we want it to show at our *con*!!! AWA starts Oct. 27! @_@
Otherwise, I wouldn't care so much about the time frame... I still want
to get this, whenever, whatever, wherever- but it would be much cooler to be
able to show it to *everybody*, wouldn't you think? ^_-

Compared to Wedding Peach, the characters look very "ugly"
or plain. They are not cute. (I like cute.. ^_^)
But of course this is not cute anime, never meant to be.
I have to watch more of Gundam Wing, but I like Gundam Wing
better as a robot show than Evangelion.
I prefer Gundam robots to Evangelion robots.

"Wedding Peach" rising in popularity, comparing with "Sailor Moon"
