None of the articles I posted after the twelfth have
been promulgated outside my server--it must have
a feed problem of some sort. So, I'm reposting the
ones that might be of interest. If, for some reason,
I'm mistaken, just ignore.

[Long list of excellent material snipped]

There's been a lot of discussion about Dancougar. I personally
think that Software Sculptors did us fans a great favor by bringing
us this mid-eighties series. Is it as good as BGC, Ranma, WOH,
Vampire Princess Miyu, Kimagure Orange Road, etc.? The answer is an
obvious no. However, if you feel that you can't watch something
because it's not the best there is, you'll find yourself
watching only one show.

Dancougar was quite a good series in its time. A serious anime
afficionado would find it well worth watching. It is a very good
buy--it lists at $19.99 for five episodes on each volume. To
accommodate the length, there are some minor tradeoffs--eg., credits
only at the end of each tape, etc. This has bothered some purists,
but in terms of bang for the buck I feel this is the best compromise.
To do otherwise, would have driven the price up and provided little
value added.

I don't know how well Dancougar is selling. I hope it is doing
quite well. If so, it will send a signal that there is a market for
some of the older TV classics.

On a trip to Europe, I noticed that there seems to be more interest in
the older stuff than there is here. Perhaps our friends in the UK can
comment on this.
