This is an incomplete list of Ranma 1/2 FanFiction available on the
internet. All credited stories should be available at Megazones
FanFiction archive at ftp.std.com /archives/anime-fan-works.
Anonymous posts are NOT accepted by Megazone. FTP sites for Anon stories
will be cited in the comments for that story.
Anyone who wishes to add other FanFics to this list, or to correct any

The Ranma FanFic.s in this list are divided into 5 general categories, the
categories are described below:
1> CROSSOVER The Ranma 1/2 world and/or characters meets or
blunders into a world and/or characters from another series.
2> RANMA AND ... This type of story is typically centered around an
original character created by the author. The focus of the
story is heavily on this character and his actions with the
Ranma cast being in a supporting role. Normally the new
character turns up at the Tendo dojo and runs around with
Ranma & Co.
3> UNUSUAL SETTING These stories focus on the Ranma 1/2 characters in
a situation outside the boundaries set by Takahashi-san.
They may either be in an original setting developed by the
author or be something going on in Nerima Ward that is
abnormal by Takahashi standards.
4> ORIGINAL FLAVOUR An effort by an author to write a Ranma 1/2
story while remaining true to the powers and/or limitations
displayed in the anime & manga. Tends to have few original
characters and focuses on 1 or more of the regular cast.
There are 2 sub-classes within this group - continuations,
which try and chronicle events after the series end, and
timeless - which can fit into the existing stories.
5> LEMON Members of the Ranma 1/2 cast indulging in sexual

At times an interesting story, but Quantum Leap fans will get the most
out of it.

Follow-up to the Netthouen episode where Happosai accidentally created a
demonic female Ranma. What would happen if the magic was done properly and
you ended up with 2 Ranma's, 1 male, 1 female?
A character drama as various characters try to deal with consequences,
currently unfinished but being worked on.

as dangerous as it is unlucky.

Those that enjoy CYOA books will be happy, those that can't stand CYOA books
should avoid this FanFic. Those that just want Ranma stories can find an
amusing couple of tales buried in these paragraphs.

Most memorable for a main character that was so wise, noble, perceptive and
skillful that (IMHO) he shut all other characters out of the story.

The american, Pat, flies to Japan to be an exchange student for a year, and
gets to stay at the Tendo dojo and experience the wonder of life and

A redone version of "Mis-Adventures", with a less perfect central

"Ryouga: Lost and Found"

ORIGINAL FLAVOUR - TIMELESS (or UNUSUAL, a bit serious for R1/2)
Ryouga blunders into a little girl who says that she is lost, and that she
wants to stay that way. Ryouga tries to help but is uncertain of what to
do, fortunately he follows his nose to Ukyou and she helps him help the
girl.
A story focussing on Ryouga and Ukyou, no romance or anything, just the two
of them trying to help a little girl in two different ways (which clearly
shows which of them is more mature and less naive) and ending up with a sort
of relationship.

"Black Operations 301"

UNUSUAL SETTING
Follows the actions of a hired assassin as he stalks one of the Ranma 1/2
regulars, and the consequences that follow from his murderous efforts.
A world with "cyberpunkish" morals where rules are made to be broken by those
with the money and influence. Story not yet complete, it remains to be seen
how well it works.

they've already seen?
Confusing and co-incidental events caused by inexpert use of magic. Similar
in style rather than a direct sequel to the first "Reality 1/2".

Nabiki takes a commission from Ranma to arrange things so that Kodachi
won't chase after him any more. Only Kodachi is nullifying Nabiki's
arrangements as fast as Nabiki makes them. Whose plan will win out in
the end?
A Nabiki centered story that shows just how sleazy Nabiki can be, not to
mention how little Ranma has learned.

decide to "help" him win Akane's heart. Various minor complications do
arise however .... including some that Ryouga's new friends brought with
them.
A Ryouga based story that tries to explore a little of what being a pig is
all about.

view of Shiratori Azusa's (of the Golden Pair) brother (Juyza). The
pragmatic Juyza scrabbles to make ends meet and understand what is going

See the typical events around Ranma through the eyes of a (relatively)
normal and rational (if self-centered) person.

In a world of inept but all-powerful government ministries and clones known
as "extenders" a young martial artist, Saotome Ranma, tries to avoid being
noticed while remaining true to his principles. Then his father buys him an
"Akane" model extender as a wife, only this "Akane" doesn't match the
specifications sent in for it. As a result Ranma finds that avoiding notice
is no longer one of his options.
A fairly dark cyber-punkish world heavily influenced by the movie "Brazil"
(And probably other sources I don't recognize). Now a complete story in
16 chapters.

Ryouga's older brother, Cosmo, drops by the Tendo dojo to clear up some
Hibiki family business. The laid-back half-hippy Cosmo finds the goings
on at the Tendo dojo almost as confusing as the dojo finds him, and then
the little girl of the Hibiki family drops by to beat up her brothers.
A moderately amusing tale. The newly introduced members of the Hibiki family
seem a trifle overdone, but the story more-or-less works despite this.

eventually takes him to his destination, the rumoured dojo where "Anything
Goes Martial Arts" is studied. Rei is not amused when Happosai decides
that he would be a fun pupil.
Stories of a Ranma 1/2 universe built around new characters interacting with
the regular cast.

An unusual choice for the point of view, unfortunately appears to be

Anime so the story is unlikely to be finished.

On board the USS Rumicprise Captain Saotome and his valiant crew attempt
to safeguard the Federation. The first episode has security chief Hibiki
facing himself in an effort to stop a terrorist plot to start a war with
the Cardassians.
A spinoff from the Ranma University series. A more serious effort at mixing
ST:TNG and Ranma 1/2, started before RanmaTrek but took longer to be
publically released.

A mysterious being announces a fighting contest, offering anything the winner
wants as the prize. The entire Ranma cast of regulars, plus the guest stars
of the first & second movies turn up to do battle for the prize.
A Ranma 1/2 fight-fest. Entertaining for the fight scenes, though certain
other scenes have the cast scale new heights in tunnel-vision.

On his wanderings Ryouga meets a strange old man who offers to help Ryouga
with some of his problems. The old man then shows Ryouga what might have
been had things gone a little differently when Shampoo first came to Japan,
not knowing of Ranma's curse.
A "What-if" type story similar in concepts to JW Biles "Elseworlds"
storyline.

The mysterious and powerful Shuriken arrives at the Tendo dojo to study
the unrestricted style of martial arts, and to teach his own amazing brand
of martial arts to the entire Ranma 1/2 cast.
A story focussed on Shuriken and the trials his coming heralds.

"Ranma 1/2: Life's Dulse Moments"

ORIGINAL FLAVOUR - T
Shampoo buys some more magic herbs to try on Ranma, only the salesperson
is Kodachi in disguise. In the meantime Akane makes lunch for Ranma
while Ukyou takes revenge on Happosai. Events come to a head when Shampoo
feeds Ranma a meal that leaves him unable to speak without making a pun, and
Kodachi has the only cure on the eastern side of the Pacific Ocean.
The story entertains and always has something happening, and those that enjoy
a bad pun (as opposed to a tolerable pun) will be in their element.

Mousse meets a strange girl one day, and is slowly but surely drawn into
her plots. Just how strange the girl is gets revealed after Mousse signs
a contract with her... What exactly does she mean, Life first, then body
and finally soul?
A story for the Mousse fans, trys to show Mousse as an important and
powerful character. Involves the occasional lightweight sex scene as a
distraction.

of the problems that beset his old one.

Ranma's world is invaded by supernatural forces into creating vampire hordes
and brainwashing captured resistance fighters, a grim and gritty story that
works the characters over quite throughly. Cameos by some Kimagure Orange
Road characters.
The "original" Ranma 1/2 invasion story, watch out for the fake ending. One
of my all-time favourite FanFic's.

only to have the turtle god mistake Genma for his old enemy, the Panda King.

In the volleyball championship match Furinkan High prepares to do battle
with Tomobiki High. Will the martial arts skill of Ranma & Co overcome the
alien technology and raw power of Lum and her friends? Will the stadium
be there at the end of the match?
Written as a break from "Darker Half", fast moving laughs in a compact
package.

One of Ranma and Akane's fights gets out of hand and manages to include
Kasumi in the collateral damage. When Kasumi recovers from the blow her

The story that shows that you too can be all-powerful in your own story,
still is better done than "MisAdventures of a Foreign Exchange Student",
all powerful is easier to handle than completely perfect.

Continues the adventures of Twister in the Ranma 1/2 universe, focussing
on the relationship between Nabiki and Twister as they enter an unusual
Japanese University, with an unusual (or normal for Ranma 1/2) assortment
of characters.
Twisters overwhelming power shows more clearly in this story as the counters
to it appear to be both less powerful and less intelligently used. The
dedicated Ranma fans will also find the Ranma regulars pushed very much into
the background by Twister and the new characters.

slapstick. Good all the same.
