Ranma:A day to remember
(Opening scene: It's an early Friday morning. We are in front of the
Tendo's house. A voice can be heard from within it. It's obviously Akane's)
Akane's voice:Ranma no BAKA!
(There is a loud whack of what sounds like a mallet hitting
something.....or someone. We look up into the sky and see Ranma soar over the
fence, reach the pinnacle of his flight and come plummetting towards the
earth, landing face first.)
(After a few minutes, Ranma slowly picks himself up
and dusts himself off.)
Ranma:Hmph. All I did today was tell her that she looked nice in a dress
for a change and she gets mad at me. Why does Akane have to always act like a
tomboy?
Akane:(Standing behind Ranma with a mallet)I heard that!
Ranma:(Realizing what he said)Not again.
(Akane pummels him with her hammer and storms off through the front gate)
Ranma:(On the ground again)Man.....I gotta learn to keep my mouth shut.
(Ranma gets up and dusts himself off. He looks towards the gate Akane
stormed through and groans as he eximines the bruises all over his body)
(Somewhere in China)
Ryoga:Can you please tell me how to get to the Tendo dojo?
Man:Didn't you ask me that last week when you saw me?
Ryoga:Um...can you tell where it is again. I seem to...um...have
forgotten.
Man:Japan is in that direction(Points east)
(Ryoga walks to our astonisment in that direction)
Man:(Talking to himself)Well....at least he's headed in the right way
this time.
(Back at the dojo. Everyone is at the table eating breakfast except Ranma,
who is in his room and Kasumi who, is in the kitchen, cooking. Akane seems
upset about something and Nabiki notices. Genma is eating as always. Soun
sadly watches as Genma is eating him out of house and home. Kasumi is
oblivious)
Nabiki:Mr. Saotome
Ganma:Yes, Nabiki?(Continues to eat)
Nabiki:As of today, you owe me 10,000 yen.
Genma:(Sweating)I..uh.....
Nabiki:(Interrupting)Will pay it off today.
Genma:Of corse.......I.....will......
Nabiki:How might you do that?
Genma:I......(Douses himself with a cup of water located conveniently
next to him)Growl(Smiles weakly)
Nabiki:Well.....Mr. Panda. If you want to play it that way.
Genma(Panda):Growl.(Starts sweating)
(A few minutes later)
Nabiki:Akane.
Akane:What is it, Nabiki?
Nabiki:I was just wondering why you're upset.
Akane:You know why.
Nabiki:What did he do this time?
Akane:He said I looked good in this dress.
Nabiki:What's wrong with that?
Akane:.......
Nabiki:Maybe he's trying to be nice.(Emphesizing on the 'trying')
Akane:Well........
Nabiki:(Interupting)It doesn't hurt if you try also.
Akane:But I thought he was.......
Nabiki:(Interupting again)What....making fun of you again.
Akane:well....yeah.
Nabiki:That's because you expected him to, ne?
(Up in his room, Ranma sneezes)
Akane:It's just that he always did and why should today be any different.
Nabiki:Maybe he's starting to show his feelings.
Akane:(Blushing)...........
Nabiki:(Noticing)Maybe you should try to be nice too. Maybe he'll tell
you how he feels if you weren't mad at him all the time.
Akane:Do you really think so?
Nabiki:Of course I do.
Akane:Well....I guess I could. Thanks Nabiki.
Nabiki:No problem. What are sisters for?
Akane:Um....what about this talk?
Nabiki:(Smiles)Oh....and don't worry. I'll charge you for it later.
(Akane's face faults)Besides....I have to do something(Gets up and leaves)
(The scene changes to Ranma's room where Ranma is lying on his futon.
After a short moment, there's a knock at the door.)
Ranma:Who is it?
Nabiki:It's me. May I come in?
Ranma:(Recognizing Nabiki's voice)Sure.
(Nabiki comes in and sits near Ranma)
Nabiki:(Noticing Ranma's bruises)What happened?
Ranma:(Still lying on the futon)What do you think happend?
Nabiki:Akane.
Ranma:Of course. Who else can do this much damage?
Nabiki:What did you do?
Ranma:(Sits uprght)Me...I didn't do a thing. All I said was that Akane
looked good in her dress and she gets upset.
(Downstairs, Akane sneezes)
Nabiki:Come on. Do you expect me to believe that?
Ranma:It's the truth. Really.
Nabiki:Why did you say that anyway?
Ranma:Well....I was trying to be nice. Why are you so interested in what
I do?
Nabiki:Akane's my sister. Besides....she seemed upset.
Ranma:..........
Nabiki:I think she expected that to be one of your insulting remarks
about her.
Ranma:But I didn't insult her.
Nabiki:I know. But I think she expected it to be insult.
Ranma:Do you mean she expected me to insult her?
Nabiki:Well.....think of it. You two fight every morning and everything
that's said leads to a fight. I think she got use to it.
Ranma:..........
Nabiki:Why are you acting nice all of a sudden?
Ranma:Well....I was getting sick and tired of being hit every morning by
that tomboy.
Nabiki:Why don't you tell her then?
Ranma:............
Nabiki:Well....at least try to stay away from fighting one another.
Ranma:I could do that.
Nabiki:Good.
Ranma:Are you going to tell her that I don't want to be hit again?
Nabiki:Nope. Maybe she'll get it on her own.
Ranma:Thanks
Nabiki:You know what.
Ranma:What?
Nabiki:Maybe you're trying to be nice cause you're starting to show your
true feelings.
Ranma:(Blushing)Nani? I would never do that. I'm being nice so Akane
won't....
Nabiki:(Interupting)Hate you.
Ranma:(Blushing beet red)No so she won't....
Nabiki:(Interupting again)Fall for someone else.
Ranma:(Still blushing)No. Will you quit putting words in my mouth.(Nabiki
smiles)I was acting nice so she won't hit me again.
Nabiki:I know. I know. I was just having some fum.
Ranma:Oh.
Nabiki:Well....glad I could've helped.
Ranma:(Begins to sweat)Um.....what about this talk?
Nabiki:No problem. I'll make you an easy payment plan to pay this off.
(Ranma falls back over onto his futon as Nabiki leaves)
(Back at the table. Akane finishes her breakfast. She spots Nabiki coming
down the stairs)
Akane:Nabiki. Where did you go?
Nabiki:Me. I had to go get my books.
Akane:(Noticing Nabiki without her books)Did you find them?
Nabiki:I.......forgot them at school.
Akane:Oh.
Nabiki:(Smiles)I'm going off to school early so I could go fetch them.
You and Ranma can go on without me. See you later.(Leaves for school)
(Akane heads upstairs to get her books. As she walks up, Ranma is walking
down. Akane smiles at Ranma thinking about what Nabiki said about him.
Ranma smiles at Akane hoping that she won't hit him)
(We see Akane and Ranma walking to school. Ranma is of course walking on
the fence as Akane walks on the sidewalk down below. Akane seems very happy
now while Ranma seems nervous)
Akane:Ranma.
Ranma:Yes?
Akane:I was wondering about what you said earlier. You know...about my
dress.
Ranma:...........
Akane:Do you really think I looked nice in this dress?
Ranma:(Remembering what Nabiki said)Yes. You do look nice in it.
Akane:Thanks.(Smiles)
Ranma:(Thinking)It's working. She isn't trying to kill me.(Begins to
talk)You know what?
Akane:What?
Ranma:You look cute when you smile too.
Akane:(Thinking)Nabiki is right. Maybe he's starting to show his true
feelings.(Begins to talk)Thank you
(Ranma is no longer nervous but is now rather happy)
(Somewhere in China)
Ryoga:Can you please tell how to get to the Tendo dojo?
Man:You again?!? I just showed you the direction to head in.
Ryoga:Can you show me again.
Man:It's that way(Points east)
(Ryoga heads west)
Man:Hey!
Ryoga:Yes?
Man:The other way.
Ryoga:Oh(Turns around and thus heads east)
Man:(Talking to himself)God must be testing me.
(Back to Akane and Ranma walking to school. Ranma is now walking next to
Akane on the sidewalk. They still have no idea about what's going on)
Ranma:Akane.
Akane:Yes?
Ranma:Have you noticed that Shampoo didn't land on me with her bike today?
Akane:(Upset)..........
Ranma:It's just nice that we have time together.
Akane:(Surprised)Really?
Ranma:(Smiles)I guess it's nice when something you expect to happen on a
daily basis changes.
Akane:Yes it is.
(Inside the Nekohanten, we see Moose hugging Shampoo around her arms in a
tight embrace while she tries to struggle out to no avail.)
Shampoo:(Continues to struggle trying to free her arms)Let go of Shampoo.
Moose:Shampoo. I pledge my undying love to you.
Shampoo:(Getting angry)Let go. You make Shampoo late to meet Ranma.
Moose:I shall never let go of you.
Shampoo:(Fuming)Let go. I leave now.
(Splash)
Cologne:(Holding a bucket while balancing on her stick)Enough with the
two of you.
Shampoo(Cat):Meow
Moose(Duck):Quack
Cologne:(Grabs Moose by the neck)Into the cage with you.
Moose(Duck):Quack. Quack.(Struggles to get free)
Cologne:(Throws Moose into the cage an locks it)You stay there.
Shampoo(Cat):Meow
Cologne:Let me go get some hot water grand-daughter.(Goes into the
kitchen)
(After a few minutes, Cologne emerges with a kettle and pours water
the hot water on Shampoo)
Shampoo:(Getting into her clothes)Thank you great-grandmother
Cologne:Now child. Go find my future son-in-law.
Shampoo:(Looks at clock)Sorry great-grandmother. It too late. Ranma is
gone by now.
Cologne:Now I wonder why Moose was so persistent today.
(In Moose's cage)
Moose(Duck):(Thinking) Shampoo, why must you like Ranma so much and not
me? I will love you much more than he ever will.(Sigh)I just know it. Nabiki
even thinks so.
<Flasback>
(Outside the Nekohanten, where Moose without his glasses is sweeping the
sidwalk and Nabiki walks up to him.)
Nabiki:Moose.
Moose:Shampoo.(Hugs Nabiki)I love you
Nabiki:Moose.
Moose:What is it my love?
Nabiki:Put on your glasses.
(Moose takes his glasses out of his pocket and puts them on and notices
that he's talking to Nabiki)
Moose:Hi Nabiki.
Nabiki:(Fixing her blouse)Hi Moose. I was wondering if you can do me a
favor.
Moose:What is it?
Nabiki:I want you to let Shampoo know how much you love her today.
(Shampoo sneezes from inside the Nekohanten)
Moose:But I always tell her I love her.
Nabiki:I want you to show her.
Moose:Like how?
Nabiki:Instead of telling her, why don't you hug her and then tell her.
Moose:But she'll hit me if I touch her.
Nabiki:Not if you hold her tight enough and around her arms. Then she
won't be able to hit you.
Moose:(Now hopeful)Do you really think it'll work?
Nabiki:(Smiles)Of coure. Beside...you can love Shampoo more than Ranma
ever can. I just know it.(Winks)
Moose:Fine then. I'll try it. Thanks a lot Nabiki.
Nabiki:No problem. See you later.(Starts to walk away)
Moose:Nabiki. Aren't you going to charge me?
Nabiki:Nope. Not this time.
<End of flashback>
(Back to Ranma and Akane. They're still walking)
Akane:Ranma.
Ranma:What is it?
Akane:Havn't you noticed that you weren't attacked by Kuno?
Ranma:(Puzzled)That's strange. I wonder what happened to him?
Akane:Maybe he got sick and tired of fighting with you.
Ranma:(Noticing on what Akane just said)I'm so glad.(Thinking)I wonder
why he isn't around for real.
(Back at the Tendo dojo)
Kuno:You will tell me of her location.(Pulls out his bokken)
Genma(Panda):Growl.
Kuno:Speak.
Genma(Panda):Growl
Kuno:I know of your evil plans to rid this world of my beautiful
pig-tailed goddess. I shall never allow it.
Genma(Panda):(Sweating)Growl.(Runs away)
Kuno:I, Tatewaki Kuno, Blue Thunder of Furikan High shall vanquish this
world of such evil sorcery(Runs after Genma)I know of your vile tasks for I
have been told so.
<Flashback>
(Inside of Furikan High. In one of it's many hallways, we see Kuno
talking to Nabiki.)
Nabiki:Hey Kuno-chan. Do you want to know where your pig-tailed goddess
is?
Kuno:You will address me as Kuno-sempei and yes, I would like to know of
my pig-tailed godess.
(Nabiki extends a hand)
Kuno:If you want my handshake, that I shall give.(Shakes Nabiki's hand)
Nabiki:No. You know what I want.(Smiles)
Kuno:I have no wish to date you, Nabiki.
Nabiki:2000 yen.
Kuno:Nani?
Nabiki:2000 yen for the information of your pig-tailed goddess.
Kuno:(Hands Nabiki 2000 yen)Ok then. Where is she?
Nabiki:She's in the Tendo dojo.
Kuno:Nani? Why would she be under the same roof as that cad Ranma.
Nabiki:She's being held prisoner by Ranma and needs your help to escape.
She'll be vanquished from this world if you don't hurry.
Kuno:I shall destroy Ranma.
Nabiki:Oh yeah. You know that Ranma is a sorcorer.
Kuno:Hai.
Nabiki:Well. He put a spell on himself to make everyone think he is her
panda since he'll look like one.
Kuno:Thank you, Nabiki. I would've paid anything to be with my pig-tailed
goddess(Runs off)
Nabiki:Drats. I knew I should've asked for more.(Slight pause)Oh
well......you can't win them all.(Thinking)Mr. Saotome....that's for not
paying me back.(Walks to her classroom)
<End of flashback>
(Back to Ranma and Akane. They are in front of the school gate. Akane is
mad)
Akane:(Angrily)Man...I hate doing this every morning.
Ranma:(Notices that Akane is mad)Maybe you should tell them to stop.
Akane:You know how many times I tried. They just don't understand
that...........
Ranma:That you have a.........
Akane:.........
Ranma:.........
Akane:Well.........let's go.
Ranma:Wait.
Akane:Huh?
Ranma:You should smile more often. Remember what I said earlier.(Smiles)
Akane:(Remembering)You look cute when you smile too.(Smiles and begins to
talk) Thanks.(Thinking)Maybe he really is starting to show his true feelings.
Ranma:(Thinking)I hope she doesn't hit me during the battle.
(Ranma and Akane both run into the courtyard where they are greeted with
a mob of boys trying to defeat Akane for a date. Ranma, battle hungry since
since he din't fight Kuno today knocks out a few boys. After the battle,
Ranma remembers that Akane likes to fight her own battle.)
Akane:(Thinking that Ranma was trying to help her out)Thank you, Ranma.
Ranma:(Surprisingly )No Problem(Thinking)I thought I was a goner.(Smiles)
I guess this is turning out quite nice.
(Ranma and Akane proceed on into the school. From one of the windows, we
see Nabiki looking out. She smiles and goes about with her
business)
(Somewhere in China. We see Ryoga walking but we don't know if it's in
the right direction)
Ryoga:(Talking to himself)Why do I have to be so bad with directions.
Why? I knew that I shouldn't have tried to go to the bathroom when I was
visiting the Tendo dojo.Akane Tendo..... How I miss you. I wish I had the
nerve to ask you out, but I can't bear to think of you rejecting
me.(Sigh)Please go out with me.
(In a classroom we hear Akane sneeze and Ranma snoring)
Akane:Hmm...I wonder who's thinking about me.
Teacher:Quiet.
Akane:Hai
(It's now lunchtime. The morning classes have ended. We are in the luchroom
where everyone is enjoying lunch. Ukyou is nowhere in sight. Ranma and Akane
are sitting with their own freinds. Nabiki walks in and notices. She walks
over to Ranma and sits next to him as he's chatting and eating with his
friends. Akane, who is in the other side off the room doesn't notice)
Ranma:(Stops eating)Hi Nabiki.
Nabiki:Has anything happened?
Ranma:No. Nothing at all. She hadn't hit me since earlier.
Nabiki:(Smiles)See...all you have to do is act nice. Isn't that easy?
Ranma:It really is. I have no problem with that.(Smiles) Thanks a lot for
the advice.
Nabiki:Since you have no problem with that, why don't you go a step
further and ask Akane out?
Ranma:Nani?
Nabiki:Just think about it. Maybe that's the perfect way to end all of
the fighting once and for all.
Ranma:I don't know........
Nabiki:Come on. What do you have to lose?
Ranma:She might think I'm up to something.
Nabiki:Why would she think that?
Ranma:Well........
Nabiki:It's because you expect her to think that, ne?
Ranma:.........
Nabiki:Haven't you noticed that she didn't hit you even though you
expected it?
Ranma:Well.......yeah I did.
Nabiki:So why would it start now?
Ranma:I guess you're right. But how should I ask her?
Nabiki:You could figure that out yourself.
Ranma:I guess so. Where should we go?
Nabiki:I know this great place called Pour Deux. It'serves the greatest
french food. How about it?
Ranma:What if Shampoo, Ukyou, or (Gulps) Kodachi show up?
Nabiki:I doubt it.(Smiles)
Ranma:I hope you're right.....now....... speaking of Ukyou. Have you seen
her today?
Nabiki:No. I didn't.
Ranma:I hope she's alright.
Nabiki:She probably overslept.
Ranma:I hope you're right.
<Flashback>
(In Ukyou's okonomiaki store, we see Ukyou sleeping in her room. Nabiki
opens the door and tip toes in. Inside, she unplugs the alarm clock and then
leave)
<End of flashback>
Nabiki:Now...back to the date.
Ranma:What about it?
Nabiki:I'll even pitch in for the dinner. On me.(Smiles)
Ranma:Why are you being so nice?
Nabiki:You're going to have to pay me to tell you.
Ranma:Wait. Does that mean this conversation is free?
Nabiki:Just this time.
Ranma:Oh yeah. Please don't tell Akane. I want this to be a surprise.
Nabiki:No problem.
Ranma:Thanks a lot, Nabiki.
Nabiki:See you later(Gets up and leave)
(After Nabiki leaves, Ranma's friends, who heard everything begin to
question Ranma. He just ignores them and continues to eat. On the other side
of the lunchroom, Akane is talking with her friends)
Girl:Your so lucky Akane.
Akane:What do you mean?
Girl:(Looks across the lunchroom at Ranma)Having him as a fiance.
Akane:(Blushing)But we fight all the time.(Remembers that they hadn't
since morning)Well....most of the time that is.
Girl:I'd take Ranma over anyone else in this lunchroom.
AnotherGirl:Me too
(One the other side, Ranma sneezes)
(They both sigh as Akane blushes. She looks across the lunchroom at Ranma
and sighs also. Nabiki appears at their table and sits next to Akane.)
Nabiki:Hi Akane.
Akane:(Still looking at Ranma)Hi Nabiki.
Nabiki:(Smiles)Why are you staring at Ranma?
Akane:(Looks at Nabiki yet still blushing)I wasn't.
Nabiki:Oh. (Slight pause)I was wondering if you and Ranma are getting
along.
Akane:I think he's really showing his feeling towards me.
Nabiki:Do you like that?
Akane:Yes..... I really do.
Nabiki:See. All you had to do was be nice and not hit him. Isn't that
easy?
Akane:Yes it is.
Nabiki:(Innocently)Maybe if you continue to be nice to him, he might ask
you out.
Akane:Nani?
Nabiki:It was just a thought.(Smiles)
Akane:(Blushing)I know.....(Sighs)....just a thought.
(After a short moment of silence)
Nabiki:Akane.
Akane:Yes?
Nabiki:Why don't you go over to Ranma's table and talk to him?
Akane:I think I will.(Smiles)
Nabiki:Oh yeah! Have you seen Shampoo today?
Akane:No. I expected to see her on our way to school. Do you know what
happened to her?
Nabiki:No. I just wanted to ask her if she saw Kuno. He........owes me
money. Have you seen him also.
Akane:No. I didn't see him either. I wonder what happened to them two
this morning.
Nabiki:Beats me.
Akane:Oh...I forgot. I want to thank you for the advice you gave earlier.
Nabiki:No problem. I wish I can stay but I have something to do.
Akane:Ok.
Nabiki:Oh. And one more thing. Don't tell Ranma we had this talk.
Akane:I won't. Bye.
Nabiki:See you later.(Leaves)
(Nabiki leaves as Akane heads over to Ranma's table, leaving her two
friends talk to one another.)
(As Nabiki exits the lunchroom and proceeds down the corridor, she sees
Ukyou walking in through one of the enterences. Nabiki walks up to Ukyou)
Nabiki:Hi Ukyou. Where were you earlier today?
Ukyou:Well.....(Embaressed)......I overslept.
Nabiki:You don't seem to be the type that over sleeps.
Ukyou:I know. My alarm usually wakes me up for school.
Nabiki:How did you wake up today?
Ukyou:I woke up when I sneezed.
Nabiki:Oh.(Slight pause)Are you going to the lunchroom?
Ukyou:Yes. I want to see Ranma.
Nabiki:.....Can you do a favor for me?
Ukyou:Sure. What can I do?
Nabiki:I need you to help me find Kuno.(Thinking)I have to keep her from
Ranma.
Ukyou:Sure, but I want to go say hi to Ranma first.
Nabiki:You can see him later. I really need your help now.
Ukyou:Well....I guess I could wait.
Nabiki:Thanks a lot.(Thinking)That ought to buy them some time.
(Back in the lunchroom Akane is sitting next to Ranma. His friends left
leaving just them two)
Akane:Ranma. I really like how the day is going, don't you?
Ranma:I know.
(Brief pause)
Ranma:Akane.
Akane:Yes?
Ranma:(Nervously)I was wondering.....if......you'd......um....
Akane:If I would what.
Ranma:If you'd like...to......go out.
Akane:(Surprised)Nani?
Ranma:........Will you go out with me?
Akane:Yes.
Ranma:(Suprised)Really?
Akane:Yes.
Ranma:When would you like out?
Akane:How about....tonight...around six?
Ranma:Great. Tonight it is.
Akane:(Thinking)Tonight is going to be wonderful.(Smiles)
Ranma:(Thinking)Boy....she really does look cute when she smiles. I hope
tonight turns out alright. (Smiles)
(The bell soon rings and everyone including Ranma and Akane must head to
class. )
(The rest of the school day goes by quickly and smoothly. Ranma and Akane
are walking home together. Both of them seem quite happy. Ranma is actually
walking next to Akane on the sidewalk.)
Akane:I was wondering if we'll see Shampoo, Ukyou, or Kodachi on our date.
Ranma:I honestly hope not. The day's going by so perfectly and I wouldn't
want then to mess it up.
Akane:(Happily)You really think this is a perfect day.
Ranma:Well.....yeah. I haven't been hit yet and we aren't fighting. Also,
I didn't change into a girl.
Akane:We should do this more often.(Holds Ranma's arm while leaning her
head on his shouder as they walk)
Ranma:(Looks at Akane then looks straight ahead and softly says)I
know......I know......(Smiles)
(Ranma and Akane reaches the dojo and they both head in through the gate.
They stop holding each others hand. Genma and Soun are playing a game of
shogi. Soun looks obviously stumped. Nabiki is in the livingroom watching
television. Kasumi is at the gate to greet them)
Kasumi:Welcome home. How was school for the two of you?
Ranma:(Obviously in a good mood)So far, it's going perfectly.
Kasumi:That's nice. How about you, Akane?
Akane:It's going great for me too.
Kasumi:I made some cookies(Brings out a tray of cookies from
nowhere)Would you two like some?
Ranma:No thanks. I'll eat later.
Akane:Same here.
Kasumi:Oh my! What should I do with these cookies?
(Genma, still in Panda form gets up from his game, walks up to Kasumi,
takes the tray, dumps all the cookies in his mouth, and goes back to his game
of shogi. Akane and Ranma notices a few cuts and bruises on Genma but don't
bother to ask. Kasumi, as always is oblivious to what just happened. Kasumi
asks them two a question.)
Kasumi:Will one of you two do me a favor and return a book I borrowed
back to Dr. Tofu later?
Akane:Sorry, onechan but......we're going out on a date tonight(Smiles)
(Ranma nods in complience)
Kasumi:How sweet. You two finally decide to go out.
(Genma, in the living room overhears Kasumi and quickly runs into the
kitchen. Soun , who also overhears her walks up to Ranma and Akane)
Soun:(Looks at both Ranma and Akane)Is it true? You two are going out
tonight.
Ranma and Akane:Hai
Soun:(Hugs the two of them and begin to cry)Oh.....how I waited for this
day.(Begins sobbing)The Tendos and Saotomes will soon unite.
(A splash is heard from the kitchen. Genma, now in human form runs up to
Soun, Ranma, and Akane. Kasumi heads towards the kitchen to clean the mess
Genma made.)
Genma:Is that true, Ranma?
Ranma:Hai.
Genma:Well it's about time.
(Nabiki walks up to them. She winks at Akane when Ranma isn't looking.
Akane Smiles back)
Ranma:Pop. I don't want you interfering with our date.
Genma:(Innocently)I will do no such thing. And besides(Depressed)I have
to work tonight.(Goes into the house)
Soun:(Crying)We will prepare the wedding for tomorrow. Akane, you'll make
a beautiful bride.
Akane:Dad. We're just going on a date.
(Nabiki winks at Ranma when Akane isn't looking. She then heads into the
house goes into the livingroom.)
Soun:(Still crying)You make me proud.
Akane:Dad. Please.
Ranma:Excuse me (Wriggles free of Soun's embrace and heads for the house.)
Soun:(Sobbing)I shall retire a happy man.
Akane:Dad.
(As the Soun continues to babble, Akane is forced to listen. Ranma is now
in the livingroom talking to Nabiki, who is sitting on the couch.)
Ranma:(Nervously)Nabiki. I......was.....wondering......if you
can......lend me.....
Nabiki:(Giving Ranma a whole wad of money)There. That should cover the
dinner.
Ranma:(Relieved)Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.(Checks how much)
But isn't this a little too much?
Nabiki:Relax. There's also enough for a trip to the amusement
park..(Winks)
Ranma:You do know that I can't pay back this....
Nabiki:(Interupting)Don't worry. I won't charge you.
Ranma:Are you sure?
Nabiki:I'm perfectly sure.
Ranma:Thanks a lot.(Heads upstairs)
(Ranma exits the livingroom to head upstairs, Akane enters and sits next
to Nabiki.)
Akane:Hi Nabiki. I haven't seen you since lunch.
Nabiki:Well. I had to do some stuff.
Akane:Oh.....have you seen Ranma?
Nabiki:Yes. He just went upstairs. I think he's getting ready for the
date.
Akane:Did he ask you anything?
Nabiki:Nope. He just walked by and went upstairs.
Akane:I was wondering if he told you of where we were going.
Nabiki:I don't know but I'm sure it's some place fancy.
Akane:Really? Where do you think we would go?
Nabiki:I assume that he would take you to a fancy restaurant. You
know....so the atmosphere is right?
Akane:(Blushing)Do you really think so?
Nabiki:If he does, then he must really like you..
Akane:(Blushing even more)I hope so........
Nabiki:When are you leaving?
Akane:We agreed to leave aroud six.
Nabiki:Well.....you should go get ready soon.
Akane:Hai.(Exits the livingroom and goes up the stairs)
(Nabiki gets off the couch and goes to the phone and proceeds to dial a
number.)
(After a brief conversation on the phone, Nabiki hangs up and goes up the
stairs. Ranma, now in his room looking through the closet hears a knock on
the door.)
Ranma:Who is it?
Nabiki:It's me. May I come in?
Ranma(Recognizing Nabiki's voice once again)Sure.
(Nabiki opens the door and enters)
Nabiki:Did you find something to wear?
Ranma:How about this?(Pulls out some faded jeans and a T-shirt)
Nabiki:Sorry. I forgot to tell you. Pour Deux is a very formal restaurant.
Ranma:Oh.....ok. I forgot to ask this earlier but how do I get there and
where is it?
Nabiki:Don't worry I got you covered.
Ranma:Can you tell me?
Nabiki:It's a surprise.
Ranma:..........
Nabiki:Well.....gotta go. Bye.(Opens the door and leaves)
Ranma:Bye.
(Meanwhile Akane is in her room looking through her closet. There's a
knock at the door)
Akane:Come in.
(Nabiki enters and leans up against the wall)
Nabiki:Well....have you found something yet?
Akane:How about this?(She pulls out a beautiful blue evening dress.)
Nabiki:(Quite impressed)Not bad!
Akane:Do you think I should wear it?
Nabiki:Sure. Why not.
Akane:Fine. I'll wear this.(Slight pause)So do you know where Ranma is
taking me tonight?
Nabiki:Sorry. I didn't ask. Besides.....it's none of my business.(Smiles)
Akane:I hope it's some nice place.
Nabiki:I'm pretty sure it will.
Akane:Can you help me get into this dress?
Nabiki:Don't worry you have plenty of time.....and besides.....I have to
do something.
Akane:Ok.
Nabiki:see you later(Opens the door and leaves)
(Nibiki walks down the stairs and sits on the couch in the livingroom.
Genma is also sitting on the couch, watching TV.)
Nabiki:Mr. Saotome.
Genma:Yes, Nabiki?
Nabiki:I was wondering.......when do you work tonight?
Genma:I work at seven, after dinner. Why?
Nabiki:Just wondering.....(Innocently)How did you get all those cuts and
bruises?
Genma:Kuno attacked me.
Nabiki:(Smiles)Nani? How come?
Genma:Well...he thought I was Ranma under this spell that make people see
him as a panda, his pig-tailed godess' pet.
Nabiki:How did you get away?
Genma:I jumped into the hot tub. When Kuno ask me if I saw a panda, I
told him yeah and said he went out the window.
Nabiki:Is he still looking for the Ranma disguised as a panda?
Genma:I think so......why are you asking me all these questions?
Nabiki:I was just wondering.(Gets up and heads for the kitchen for a bite
to eat)
(In the kitchen, Kasumi is finishing baking a new batch of cookies. She
sees Nabiki checking the fridge and asks her a question.)
Kasumi:Nabiki.
Nabiki:(Looking in the fridge)Yes, onechan?
Kasumi:Can you do me a favor and return a book I borrowed to Dr. Tofu?
Nabiki:(Closes the fridge door)I'm sorry but I have a lot of work ahead
of me.
Kasumi:Well that will mean that I have to return this myself.
Nabiki:Do you know when you'll return it?
Kasumi:I'm going to return it after dinner at seven.
Nabiki:Maybe I'll see you there.(Smiles)May I have a cookie?
Kasumi:Here you go.(Gives her the tray)Have as many as you'd like.
Nabiki:I'll take just one.(Takes one and heads for Ranma's room)
(In Ranma's room, we see Nabiki and Ranma talking.)
Nabiki:Just be outside at six and you'll be ok.
Ranma:Fine.
Nabiki:One more thing. Don't tell her that I have anything to do with
this.
Ranma:But what about if she asks about how I got the money?
Nabiki:Tell her you were saving it for this day.
Ranma:But that's a lie.
Nabiki:Telling her that should guarentee you a night without having to
worry about her hitting you.
Ranma:I never thought of it that way. Thanks.
Nabiki:Anything else?
Ranma:(Embaressed)Well......can you help me find something to wear?
Nabiki:Just wear a tux.(Smiles)Remember. It's a formal restaurant.
Ranma:I hope you know what you're doing.
(It's now six. We are outside the Tendo's house. There is a large, black
stetched limo in front. We see Ranma's jaw drop at the sight of his form
transportation. Akane is also shocked at the sight. Nabiki is smiling. Soun
and Genma fainted. Kasumi is happy as always. Ranma, dressed in a black tux
helps Akane, dressed in a beautiful blue evening gown and high-heels into the
limo and then he gets in. Nabiki is talking to the limo driver. Akane and
Ranma don't notice.)
Nabiki:So do you understand what to do?
Driver:Hai.
Nabiki:Remember. If they come home happy, I'll give you a big tip later.
If they don't......well...let's just say that if they come home unhappy, then
I'll be unhappy.
Driver:(Nervously)Hai.
Nabiki:Well then. What are you waiting for? Get going.
Driver:Hai
(The driver drives away as everyone waves and then goes about with their
business. Kasumi is now busy cooking dinner. Soun and Genma continue to play
their game of shogi. Soun is still stumped. Nabiki watches the limo get
smaller and smaller as it moves further down the road. After the limo
disappears from sight, Nabiki starts walking towards Kuno's mansion)
(Inside the limo, Ranma and Akane are still in shock of their form of
transport. Neither of them could speak. Ranma finally breaks the silence.)
Ranma:Do you like it?
Akane:Like it? I love it!
Ranma:I'm glad you like it.(Puts his arm around her)
Akane:(Leans on Ranma, resting her head on his shoulder and she's
thinking)Can this be? Can Ranma be really try to show his feelings. How I
wish this wouldn't end.(Begins to talk)Where are we going?
Ranma:We're going to Pour Deux, this fancy restaurant that serves French
food.
Akane:Really? It's a fancy restaurant.
Ranma:Yes. It is.
Akane:You would take me to a fancy restaurant.
Ranma:Of course. Why wouldn't I?
Akane:I just didn't expect it, that's all?
Ranma:Change is nice, isn't it?
Akane:Yes, it really is?
(We are now in from of the Kuno Mansion. We see Nabiki walk to the front
door and knock a few times. Kuno answers, quite unexpected for us considering
that he has others do it for him.)
Kuno:Nabiki. What brings you here to my humble abode?
Nabiki:Kuno-chan. I wanted to know if you found Ranma?
Kuno:You will address me as Kuno-sempei and I'm sad to say that I have
not.
Nabiki:Why aren't you looking for him?
Kuno:I can't for all evidence leading to him has been vanquished. That
cad covers his tracks well.
Nabiki:Do you want to know where Ranma will be tonight?
Kuno:Of course I do.
Nabiki:5000yen(Extends her hand)
Kuno:Nani? Such ridiculousness.
Nabiki:Fine then. I'll leave.(Turns to walk away)
Kuno:No. Here(Hands her 5000yen). Now...where is my pig-tailed goddess'
captor, Ranma? I shall vanquish him and free her.
Nabiki:He will be at Dr. Tofu's at seven. That means have half an hour to
get there.
Kuno:I shall leave now to have the element of surprise.
Nabiki:No. You must be there seven sharp. He might panic and kill your
goddess.
Kuno:So it seems. Very well. I shall be there seven sharp.
Nabiki:I have to go do something first so I best be going. See you
later.(Walks away)
Kuno:Ha ha ha. You will not escape from me again, Ranma.(Closes door)
(We are utside of Vous Deux. Ranma and Akane's limo arrive. They both get
out and head in. The limo driver parks his limo and wait. Inside, they wait
a short time and then they are seated in a corner booth. They order their
food and wait)
Ranma:This is a very nice place, ne?
Akane:(Looks around)Yes. It is.(Notices two girls, both from different
table eyeing Ranma and gets mad)
Ranma:Akane. Why are you upset?
Akane:(Angrily)I'm not upset.
Ranma:(Notices the girls eyeing him)Come on. Please don't be upset.
Akane:(Cools down a bit)I just dont like......
Ranma:(Interupting)Those girls looking at me.
Akane:Yeah.
Ranma:Don't worry. You know it and I know it that we're on a date. That's
the only thing that should matter.(Smiles)
Akane:(Embarressed)I guess so.(Smiles)
Ranma:(Thinking)I sure that I'm not worried about Akane hitting me
anymore. I think I like just seeing see her happy and smiling. What am I
thinking? I can't be falling for.......no....I can't......well......can I.
What's so bad about that. I think I'm starting to show real genuine feelings
towards her and......I think I like it.(Smiles at Akane)
Akane:(Thinking)Ever since we stopped fighting, everything changed. It's
nice not fighting with him anymore. I haven't been happy like this ever when
I was with Ranma. How come now? I don't want this to end.......really I
don't. I think I'm falling for....no....I can't be........can I. All I know
is that he makes me happy. I really don't want to fight with him any
more...I'm happy this way. That's all I know is that I'm happy when I'm with
him.(Smiles)
Ranma:(Thinking)Should I tell her that I like making her happy?
No.....she'll think I'm up to something.
Akane:(Thinking)Should I tell him that he makes me very happy when I'm
with him?No......He won't believe me.
(The waiter serves them their meals. They begin to eat....silently. after
a few moments Ranma speaks)
Ranma:Do you like your meal?
Akane:Yes. It's delicious.
Ranma:Can I ask you a question?
Akane:Sure. What is it?
Ranma:I was wondering if you'd....like to do this.....again?
Akane:Yes. I would really like that....can I ask you a question?
Ranma:What is it?
Akane:Do you really think I look cute when I smile?
Ranma:(Honestly and softly)Yes I do
(Akane smiles and eats her food. Ranma watches her for a second and then
continues to eat.)
(In Dr Tofu's clinic. Genma in Panda form is sweeping the floor)
Genma(Panda):(Thinking as he sweeps)I'm sure glad I'm working tonight.
That way, Kuno won't find me and try to beat the tar out of me.
(The enterence door opens. Kuno enters.)
Kuno:I found you at last, sorceror. Prepare to be pummelled.(Pulls out
his bokken and readies to attack)
Genma(Panda):Growl.(Thinking)Not again!
(Kuno attacks Genma and a battle ensues. Dr. Tofu, wondering what the
commotion is about walks into the room to find Kuno and Genma fighting. He
quickly jumps between the two and grabs Kuno's forearm with his right hand
and squeezes, making Kuno open his hand thus dropping his bokken. Using his
left hand, he grabs Genma's shoulder and also squeezes thus rendering Genma
motionless. As Dr. Tofu continue to hold both Kuno and Genma, the door slides
open......it's Kasumi.)
( From outside the clinic we can hear bones cracking loudly, joints being
popped, Kasumi going "Oh my!", the desperate screems of Kuno, and the
horrible sounding growls of a panda trying to screem like a human. Nabiki is
at a distance from the clinic listening and giggling. After a short time she
turns aroud and walks away.)
(In the Nekohanten, we see Shampoo and Cologne trying to making special
potions. Moose, as a duck is in his cage.)
Shampoo:Shampoo not know why Moose do that.
Cologne:Patience grand-daughter. We will simply make some new ones. It'll
take some time though.
Shampoo:(Thinking)Now Shampoo no can look for Ranma. Shampoo have to
spend rest of night making potions.
Moose(Duck):(Thinking)Shampoo. Can't you see that I broke all of your
special potions so we be together in this room instead of you being out there
looking for Ranma. Ah....what bliss it is to be in the same room as my
beloved Shampoo.
<Flashback>
(Moose is sweeping outsid the Nekohanten this time with his glasses on.
Nabiki walks up to Moose)
Moose:(Seeing Nabiki)Hi Nabiki.
Nabiki:Hi Moose.....did my advice work?
Moose:Yes. It did. She couldn't get her arms out to attack me. How can I
thank you?
Nabiki:You know how much?
(Moose's face faults)
Nabiki:Nevermind that. I can tell you of a better way to be with your
Shampoo.
Moose:(Interested)How?
Nabiki:You could break all of her magic potions.
Moose:How will that help?
Nabiki:If you do break them, then she'll have to spend more time at the
Nekohanten making more potions thus spending more time with you.
Moose:You really think that'll work?
Nabiki:I'm sure of it.
Moose:I'll go break Shampoo's potions now. Thank You.(Runs into the
Nekohanten)
Nabiki:No Problem. See you later.(Turns around and walks away. She checks
her watch at talks to herself)Quarter till seven. Plenty of time to get to
Ukyou's and Kodachi's.
<End of flashback>
(In the courtyard of Furikan High, we see Ukyou and Kodachi facing each
other with their weapons drawn. Both girls are giving each other dirty stares
yet neither of them attack.......at least not yet.)
Ukyou:(Angrily)Ran-chan loves me! I was the first engaged with him!
Kodachi:(Angrily)Ranma-sama is mine! He loves me! Not You!
(At Pour Deux, Ranma sneezes.)
Ukyou:(Angrily)What makes you think he's yours? You don't deserve the
likes of him! He's too good for you or anyone else except me!
Kodachi:(Argily)You will never have my Ranma-sama. You're the one who
don't deserve him!
Ukyou:(Fuming)I'm going to mak you eat those words!
Kodachi:(Fuming)Come and get me!
(The two slowly inch towards one another expecting the other to attack so
they can counter. Then, out of nowhere we see Happousai run right pass them
carrying a large bag of panties. He stops after he notices Ukyou, lunges and
grabs on to her chest. Ukyou, in shock of what's happening didn't react in
time to pull him off. Before she has time to respond and pummel him,
Happousai reluctantly release his hold and runs away. Ukyou gives chase.
Kodachi gives chase after Ukyou. A second later, we see a whole mob of girls,
holding knives, daggers, and the like run by, also giving chase of Happousai.)
<Flasback>
(At Ukyou's store. Nabiki and Ukyou are sitting at a table, talking.
There are no customers in the store)
Nabiki:So. Did you find Kuno?
Ukyou:I couldn't find him anywhere. I'm sorry.
Nabiki:I really need to find him....can you help?
Ukyou:I was hoping to close the store today so I can go see Ran-chan. :I
don't think Ranma is home tonight. He said he went to the school. He didn't
tell me why though.
Ukyou:Well....I guess I can help.(Thinking)When I look for Kuno at the
school, I'll run into Ran-chan.(Smiles)
Nabiki:Thanks alot.(Smiles)
Ukyou:I'll close up now.
Nabiki:Wish I could go with you but I'll go look elsewhere for
Kuno.(Leaves for the Kuno Mansion)
(A little later, at the Kuno Mansion. Nabiki walks up to the door and
knocks. One of the doormen answers. She asks for Kodachi. He tells her to
wait a minute and closes the door. After a minute, Kodachi answers.)
Kodachi:What brings you to my home?
Nabiki:I was wondering if I can talk to Tatewaki.
Kodachi:I'm sorry to say but he ran out a few minutes ago. He never said
where.
Nabiki:Oh yeah.......he told me earlier that he was going to fight Ranma
at the school courtyard tonight. Nevermind.
Kodachi:What? Ranma's is going to be at the school tonight.
Nabiki:I think.(Smiles)
Kodachi:Then I shall goto the school also.(Runs towards Furikan High)
Nabiki:See you later.
<End of flashback>
(Nabiki is now walking down the street. She smiles at the thought of
Kuno, Mr. Saotome, Dr. Tofu, and Kasumi being in the same room. As she walks,
we see Ryoga, out of nowhere run up to her. She stops to talk.)
Ryoga:Nabiki?
Nabiki:Hi Ryoga.
Ryoga:What are you doing in China?
Nabiki:We re not in China.
Ryoga:You mean to say that we're in Japan.
Nabiki:Yes.
Ryoga:(Scratching the back of his head)Strange....I don't remember crossing
any body of water.
Nabiki:Can you do me a favor?
Ryoga:Sure. What is it?
Nabiki:Can you walk me home?
Ryoga:Of course.......Let's go(Starts walking and begins to think)I hope
Akane is home.
Nabiki:Ryoga.
Ryoga:Yes?
Nabiki:You're going the wrong way.
Ryoga:I knew that.(Smiles weakly)
(At Pour Deux, Ranma and Akane have finished eating and they are ready to
leave. After Ranma pays, they leave. Outside they get into the limo and leave
the scene. In the limo Ranma and Akane are talking.)
Ranma:Did you like the dinner?
Akane:Yes. I really did.(Smiles)
Ranma:(Smiles)Would you like to go to the amusement park?
Akane:But what about our clothes?
Ranma:Maybe we should go home and change.
Akane:Well........it doesn't bother me if we go like this.
Ranma:Are you sure?
Akane:Yes. And besides......I like the way you look tonight.(Smiles)
Ranma:(Smiles)Thank you. I also like the way you look too.
Akane:(Blushing)Thanks.(Leans against Ranma's shoulder)
Ranma:(Putting his arm around her and thinking to himself about
Akane)I.........also..........love........you.
Akane:(Enjoying the moment and thinking about
Ranma)Ranma......I........love..........you.
(Back at the Tendo dojo. Nabiki, Soun, and Ryoga are the only one present.
Soun is still looking at the shogi board thinking of his next move. Nabiki
and Ryoga are in the livingroom, talking)
Nabiki:So Ryoga....Did you find the bathroom since the last time we saw you?
Ryoga:(Embaressed)Well......I made it to the bathroom ok, but I never
found my way back.
Nabiki:I was wondering........have you seen P-chan? We haven't seen him
since you left.
Ryoga:(Nervously)Me....um......I....can't....uh...say...that...I...have.
Nabiki:Oh.....nevermind.
(Ryoga sighs in relief)
(The front door opens. Kasumi comes in after her running her little
errand of returning her book.)
Kasumi:Kobanwa.(Notices Ryoga and then smiles)
Ryoga:Hello. Kasumi.
Nabiki:Onechan. How did everything go?(Smiles)
Kasumi:Well.......when I got to Dr. Tofu's, Mr. Saotome and Kuno were
there. They both had the funniest expression on their faces when I walked
in.....well....Mr. Saotome that is. I think Dr. Tofu was working on the two
of the when I walked in. I guess Dr. Tofu was trying something new out. I saw
him snap their neck way back, then quickly forward, and then to the side.
They must've had cramps or cricks. How was your day?
Nabiki:Couldn't complain.
Kasumi:How about you, Ryouga?
Ryoga:I'm doing't quite well, considering in here.
Kasumi:That's nice. Would any of you two like some cookies? I'm going to
make some.
Nabiki:No thanks.
Ryoga:No thank you.
(Kasumi goes into the kitchen. Nabiki asks Ryoga a question.)
Nabiki:Ryoga, can you take me out for something to eat? I didn't get the
chance to eat dinner. I was.....busy.
Ryoga:Well....I guess so.
Nabiki:Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.
Ryoga:Oh........have you seen Akane anywhere?
Nabiki:I'll tell you later. Let's get going.
(Nabiki and Ryoga both leave. Nabiki leading the way of course.)
(We are now outside the amusement park. The limo pulls up and Ranma and
Akane get out. The limo driver parks his limo and wait. Ranma and Akane, both
standing out in the crowd due to such formal wear aren't bothered by the
looks and stares of others.)
Akane:What would you like to do?
Ranma:Let's go play some games.
Akane:Ok.
(Ranma and Akane both play their share of games, Ranma occasionally
winning a few. He gives his prizes to Akane who happily excepts them. After a
few games, they both decided that they should go on some rides together. As
they walk, holding hand in hand they come across the Tunnel of Love.)
Akane:Do you want to try it?
Ranma:Would you?
Akane:(Smiles)I asked you first.
Ranma:(Short pause)......Yes.....I would.
Akane:(A little surprised)You really mean it.
Ranma:(Jumps into the boat and extends his hand as a guesture to help her
in.) Yes....I do.
(Akane gives the prizes to the operater and takes Ranma's hand an steps
in the boat. The boat wobbled ever so slightly causing Akane to lose balance
and to fall into Ranma's arms where they stare at each other for a moment.
Akane then sits up next to Ranma. The boat is then set on its way.)
(Somewhere in Tokyo, three firgures jumping from roof to roof hop across
the sky. Happousai is still being chased by Ukyou, who is being chased by
Kodachi.)
Ukyou:(Still chasing Happousai)Get back here you perverted old man! I'll
have your head! You hear me!
Happousai:(Still running for his life and thinking)How am I ever going to
lose her. She followed me all the way to Tokyo already. Sooner or later, I'm
going to run out of land. Well....at least the mob of girls stopped chasing
me.(Begins to talk)You have to catch me first.
Kodachi:(Running after Ukyou)I will not let you escape! Do you hear me!
(Down below, we see Nabiki and Ryoga getting out of a cab. Nabiki pays
and the cab drives off. They both notice Happousai, Ukyou, and Kodachi
hopping from roof to roof up above. Nabiki smiles)
Ryoga:(Puzzled)Wasn't that Happousai, Ukyou, and Kodachi jumping by on
the roof?
Nabiki:(Smiling)Nah! You're probably see things.
Ryoga:(Still puzzled)I guess you're right.(Scratches the back of his head)
Nabiki:Are you ready to eat?
Ryoga:(Smiles although still puzzled)Of course.
(Nabiki and Ryoga both walk into a reastaurant. They order their food and
wait.)
Ryoga:Now that we're here.....can you tell me if you've seen Akane
anywhere?
Nabiki:Do you like my sister?
Ryoga:(Blushing)Well I.......
Nabiki:Do you?
Ryoga:(Blushing more)I....um....really.....
Nabiki:You do know that she's engaged to Ranma.
Ryoga:(A bit angry)Ranma doesn't deserve her.
Nabiki:Why do you say that?

Nabiki:What if he did?
Ryoga:But he doesn't.

(The waiter comes by with their orders and places them on the table. The
two begin eating)
(In the Tunnel of Love, Ranma and Akane are enjoying the atmosphere.)
Ranma:Akane.
Akane:Yes?
Ranma:What do you think could top today off perfectly?
Akane:(Thinking)A kiss.(Begins to talk)I don't know(Sighs)
Ranma:(Thinking)Should I try it.......no......I can't.........not now.
(They continue to enjoy the rest of the ride without saying anything
else. After the ride, Akane and Ranma decide that it's time to head home
before it gets too late. Akane takes her prizes from the operator and she and
Ranma leave for the limo. They both get into the limo and head for home. The
limo drops them off right in front of the house and leaves. They're outside
the gate.)
Ranma:Akane.
Akane:Ranma.
(On the other side of the block, Nabiki and Ryoga are getting out of a
cab. Nabiki pays the driver and he drives away.)
Ryoga:Thanks a lot for dinner. How can I ever repay you?
Nabiki:Well.....can you go to the front enterence and peek in to see if
my dad is awake?
Ryoga:Sure.(Walks off)
Nabiki:(Thinking)Well. At least I won't have to worry about Ryoga showing
up at the house for a couple of weeks.(Smiles)
(Nabiki walks down the street and stops short of the corner. She then
leans up against the wall and wait. Just around the corner, we see Ranma and
Akane.)
Akane:Ranma, I had a great time.
Ranma:Me too.
(Ranma and Akane stare in each others eyes for a minute. They slowly inch
closer and closer to each other. Akane closes her eyes. Ranma then closes his
eyes. They kiss. Nabiki, peeking around the corner smiles. After finishing
their kiss Ranma says something.)
Ranma:(Softly)Akane...........I love you.
(Akane looks at Ranma in disbelief and then starts to cry. Ranma is
puzzle)
Ranma:What's wrong?
Akane:(Crying)You don't know how(sniff) long I've waited to hear that.
Ranma:(Embracing Akane)Then I wish I told you earlier then.
Akane:(Stops crying a bit)Ranma.....I love you too.(Hugs back)
Ranma:(Softly)You now what?
Akane:What?
Ranma:(Sincerely)I'm glad I asked you out.
Akane:(Begins crying again)I'm glad you asked me too............
Ranma:Come on......let's go in.(Opens the gate while still holding Akane)
Akane:(Crying)Ok.
(Ranma and Akane head in. After a minute, Nabiki comes into view and
walks to the gate. Before she enters, she has a thought.)
Nabiki:(Thinking)I wonder how all the other are going to take this.
(Smiles and walks in)

Wow! I liked writing this. It's too bad I'm not that good at it yet. I
hope to get better(Pactice makes perfect). On to the authur's notes. First
off, the characters from this story was created by the Rumiko Takahashi.
I would never take credit for any of her works. I also want to say that
this is my first attempt at a fanfic. If you are reading this, then
that means you bothered to read this till the end. I wonder what kept you
interested:-) I tried to put in some funny scenes so it won't get monotonous.
I'm sorry for any spelling or grammar errors. I don't know why I wrote this
and how. I just sat in front of my computer, typed "Ranma no Baka", and I
wrote as I when along. In some scenes, I find myself laughing out loud as I
write. I really don't know that much about Ranma. I only seen a few episodes,
some OAVs, fanficts, and three graphic novels. Writing this took most of
my day, but it was time well spent. I quess I was lucky that I could keep
the stroy moving. I really don't think I should write more until I learn more
about the Takahashi universe. Pease send comments(No flames, "You suck", or
the like please) I only have about week of internet access before it's
terminated. I will most likely get a new one some time later. If you enjoyed
this fanfic, I'm happy to say that I'lI continue to write another more
before my account is closed. Maybe I'll write a story where Moose and Shampoo
get together next:-)
As you can see, this is fanfic has no fights. It's all character
development. I think that this fanfic is a good way to show what will happen
between Ranma and Akane without the interference of anyone. This is for all
you Nabiki lovers out there. It's weird that I never intended to write so
much with her in it, but I guess I did. I really had fun writing this. I
think I had the most fun writing about the talk between Kuno and Nabiki in
school and the incident at Dr. Tofu's. I hope that you liked those scenes and
the others. I think I got too serious for Takahashi. Way too
serious.......especially near the end. I was sure that I was writing so I
could do a cross-over. Maybe some other day:-)
