This is an incomplete list of Ranma 1/2 FanFiction available on the
internet. All credited stories should be available at Megazones
FanFiction archive at ftp.std.com /archives/anime-fan-works.
Anonymous posts are NOT accepted by Megazone. FTP sites for Anon stories
will be cited in the comments for that story. All stories at Megazones
archive are compressed using the "gzip" standard, be sure to have an
un-zipper handy.

The Ranma FanFic.s in this list are divided into 5 general categories, the
categories are described below:
1> CROSSOVER The Ranma 1/2 world and/or characters meets or
blunders into a world and/or characters from another series.
2> RANMA AND ... This type of story is typically centered around an
original character created by the author. The focus of the
story is heavily on this character and his actions with the
Ranma cast being in a supporting role. Normally the new
character turns up at the Tendo dojo and runs around with
Ranma & Co.
3> UNUSUAL SETTING These stories focus on the Ranma 1/2 characters in
a situation outside the boundaries set by Takahashi-san.
They may either be in an original setting developed by the
author or be something going on in Nerima Ward that is
abnormal by Takahashi standards.
4> ORIGINAL FLAVOUR An effort by an author to write a Ranma 1/2
story while remaining true to the powers and/or limitations
displayed in the anime & manga. Tends to have few original
characters and focuses on 1 or more of the regular cast.
There are 2 sub-classes within this group - continuations,
which try and chronicle events after the series end, and
timeless - which can fit into the existing stories.
5> LEMON Members of the Ranma 1/2 cast indulging in sexual

"Communications Breakdown"

One hot summer the residents of the Tendo Dojo head off to the beach and
enjoy themselves. While there Ranma and Akane kiss just as a wave strikes
them, and just as Kunou wanders by.... Focusses on the conclusions
Tatewaki Kunou draws from this scene.
Ranma and Akane seem unusally friendly, but the story promises much amusement
as Kunou leaps to conclusions.

"A Once and Future Akane"

After a typical school day at Furinkan High, Akane and Kasumi run into
Ranma while they're shopping, only Ranma goes into shock when he sees Akane.
Back at the dojo a second Ranma comes home while the first is being treated,
and soon a tragic tale of what could be is told.
A strange and in places confusing story, but it is not yet finished and all
may yet be explained. Not a story for Shampoo fans.

"Fight of our Life"

the Street Fighter II game? Here's one version of events.
Other chapters of the F.O.O.L. series deal with the goings on of the
combined casts of Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura and Project A-ko.
Light Hearted entertainment originally posted as an April Fools day joke.

only when they can think clearly again they find that Ranma has lost
most of his memory.
Akane trying to heal Ranma, and incidently giving him a subtlely biased
account of how things were. Inspired by the movie 'Regarding Henry'.

A fairly typical fight between Ranma and Akane ends with Akane publiccally
declaring their engagement over. This has an unusual effect on Ranma, and
on Akane for that matter.
Ranma and Akane actually taking one of their MANY fights seriously, far
more seriously than is warranted actually.

A typical round of events at the Tendo Dojo, Ranma fights Akane, Shampoo
goes for Ranma, fights occur at school. Things start to really happen
when Nodoka drops by and catches Ranma in his boy form.
An interesting attempt to write a "conclusion" of sorts to the Ranma/Akane
relationship. Marred in places by repeated use of events that only happened
once (early on) in the real series.

One day at the Kunou mansion it happened that Kodachi got hold of Sasuke
and went out for the day leaving Kunou-Senpai to to fend for himself.
Eventually Kunou got hungry enough to deign to eat home-delivered fast food,
but when he rang for the food, he got the Goddess Relief Office instead. And
for his wish Kunou wanted the love of the pig-tailed girl.
Belldany goes to the Ranma-verse to help Kunou Tatewaki win the heart of one
of his true loves, Osage no Onna. Is even a goddess up to THIS task?

"Ranma 1/2: Be Careful What You Wish For"

Ranma buys a wishing pendant from an old man and uses it to wish that he
had never been cursed. Ranma then finds himself in a world where he lives
with his mother, has never been trained in martial arts, has never met the
Tendo's and has a sister called Ranko, who is the heir to the family
martial arts traditions.
An amusing tale placing Ranma in an interesting predicament entirely of his
own making. Not yet complete.

A Quantum Leap - Ranma 1/2 crossover. Dr. Beckett leaps into assorted
Ranma 1/2 characters and tries to help Ranma and Akane get along, but
why do things keep ending up worse than they were before?
At times an interesting story, but Quantum Leap fans will get the most
out of it.

Follow-up to the Netthouen episode where Happosai accidentally created a
demonic female Ranma. What would happen if the magic was done properly and

A character drama as various characters try to deal with consequences,
currently unfinished but being worked on.

as dangerous as it is unlucky.

A few years after Ranma & Akane's marriage, Ukyou is still running her
Okonomiyaki shop and trying to forget that she loves Ranma - without much
success. Then a visit from Shampoo brings matters to a head and Ukyou is
confronted with some stark choices.
A character drama set in the Ranmaverse a few years down the track and with
a strong dose of "reality".

Ryouga blunders into a little girl who says that she is lost, and that she
wants to stay that way. Ryouga tries to help but is uncertain of what to
do, fortunately he follows his nose to Ukyou and she helps him help the
girl.
A story focussing on Ryouga and Ukyou, no romance or anything, just the two
of them trying to help a little girl in two different ways (which clearly
shows which of them is more mature and less naive) and ending up with a sort
of relationship.

and evidence is found that implicates Kuonji Ukyou and Hibiki Ryouga!
Ranma is gone, Ukyou and Ryouga are trying to clear their names while
Shampoo and Akane are feeling just a *LITTLE* homicidal about what happened
with Ranma. A different sort of beginning.

they've already seen?
Confusing and co-incidental events caused by inexpert use of magic. Similar
in style rather than a direct sequel to the first "Reality 1/2".

Nabiki takes a commission from Ranma to arrange things so that Kodachi
won't chase after him any more. Only Kodachi is nullifying Nabiki's
arrangements as fast as Nabiki makes them. Whose plan will win out in
the end?
A Nabiki centered story that shows just how sleazy Nabiki can be, not to
mention how little Ranma has learned.

"Ranma 1/2: Hellbound"

Mousse does an unauthorised search of Colognes possessions one day, and finds
a strange puzzlebox. After much effort he succeeds in opening it, and is
promptly dragged into the realm of the cenobites. Shampoo and Cologne find
the puzzlebox amid some grisly remains and realize too late the danger it
represents. The entire cast ends up in the realm of the cenobites
where supernatural martial arts isn't as effective as they might hope.
An entertaining little piece. Some may find it a bit bloody in places, the
Cenobites are as nasty and powerful as ever.

Ryouga meets some other people who are cursed to turn into pigs, and they
decide to "help" him win Akane's heart. Various minor complications do
arise however .... including some that Ryouga's new friends brought with
them.
A Ryouga based story that tries to explore a little of what being a pig is
all about.

A look at some of the goings on in the Nerima district from the point of
view of Shiratori Azusa's (of the Golden Pair) brother (Juyza). The
pragmatic Juyza scrabbles to make ends meet and understand what is going
on.
See the typical events around Ranma through the eyes of a (relatively)
normal and rational (if self-centered) person.

been before. Ryouga has found a way to travel between worlds, and now he

A story from Ryouga's viewpoint as he wanders through a number of different
Ranma 1/2 realities.

In a world of inept but all-powerful government ministries and clones known
as "extenders" a young martial artist, Saotome Ranma, tries to avoid being
noticed while remaining true to his principles. Then his father buys him an
"Akane" model extender as a wife, only this "Akane" doesn't match the
specifications sent in for it. As a result Ranma finds that avoiding notice
is no longer one of his options.
A fairly dark cyber-punkish world heavily influenced by the movie "Brazil"
(And probably other sources I don't recognize). Now a complete story in
16 chapters.

"Ranma 1/2: Give Peace a Chance"

Ryouga's older brother, Cosmo, drops by the Tendo dojo to clear up some
Hibiki family business. The laid-back half-hippy Cosmo finds the goings
on at the Tendo dojo almost as confusing as the dojo finds him, and then
the little girl of the Hibiki family drops by to beat up her brothers.
A moderately amusing tale. The newly introduced members of the Hibiki family
seem a trifle overdone, but the story more-or-less works despite this.

One day as he was leaving a con the otaku "Crys" is offered a rare Ranma 1/2
manga volume. After some searching "Crys" manages to scrape up the cash to
buy it, but as soon as he starts to read it "Crys" finds himself catapulted
into the world of Ranma 1/2, where his very nature grants him strange and
vast powers.
Quirky tale of otaku wish-fulfillment. The otaku in question comes across as
too wise and too powerful, but that's normal for this sort of story.
The Crys Saga has ended with 24 episodes, a plot sheet for some later
episodes that were planned but never written is also available.

"Mamono Hunter Ranma 1/2"

After some weird events one day at school Ranma Saotome is informed by
his grandfather (Saotome Genma) that he is the 108th Mamono Hunter of the
Saotome line. Ranma is then given the powers of the Saotome line, the
ability to call the soulsword and the demon-hunter form - invoked by jumping
in cold water.
A crossover in the "Sailor Ranma" style, with the Ranma cast in the situation
of Mamono Hunter Yohko.

"Ranma 1/2: The Outer Darkness"

A starship of the galactic empire comes across Earth, and notices that the
locals have the right sort of life energy to be drained into the imperial
energy reserve. The locals have no chance against imperial technology, but
an imperial renegade, who thinks genocide is a bad way to power the empire,
upsets the equation. But is one man enough to stop an imperial warship?
An extremely black storyline with a high bodycount (including Ranma 1/2
regulars!) that seems to be partly inspired by the movie "The Hidden",
with a few minor elements from "Mobile Suit Gundam".

After some minor problems with other cast members Akane is Mrs. Saotome
and Ranma takes her on her honeymoon...
Involves much soul-searching, some comedy and a little bit of Romance before
the wedding, then earns it's classification with a detailed account of the
wedding night.

married couple while attending university. And of some unexpected
complications that arise from their carelessness.

short of "traditional" Ranma 1/2 comedy.

A story that has Ranma rushing around seeking the things he needs to save
Akane from Colognes latest plot. More comedy and less realism than it's
predecessors, but the LEMON bits are still around.

Shampoo & Cologne's plan is not one that will leave him with a lot.

neatly though.

Ranma jumping to conclusions and digging an embarrassing hole for himself.

Happosai summons a demon to cause problems for Ranma, but due to a miscast
spell gets a demon-lord instead. The Demon-Lord promptly tricks Happosai
into freeing it, but before it can cause too much damage Twister arrives
with a grudge to fulfill...
The story that shows that you too can be all-powerful in your own story,
still is better done than "MisAdventures of a Foreign Exchange Student",
all powerful is easier to handle than completely perfect.

"Twisted Path 2"

Continues the adventures of Twister in the Ranma 1/2 universe, focussing
on the relationship between Nabiki and Twister as they enter an unusual
Japanese University, with an unusual (or normal for Ranma 1/2) assortment
of characters.
Twisters overwhelming power shows more clearly in this story as the counters
to it appear to be both less powerful and less intelligently used. The
dedicated Ranma fans will also find the Ranma regulars pushed very much into
the background by Twister and the new characters.
NOTE: Twisted Path 3 is now available at ftp.std.com, but it is not included
in this list as it is a Bubblegum Crisis FanFic and has nothing to do with
Ranma 1/2.

Untitled [Jeeves and the Jusenkyo Waters] - A Ranma 1/2-Jeeves Crossover.

CROSSOVER (sort of)
The unflappable Jeeves finds that his master has a small problem when some
old souvienirs of an expedition to China, the Jusenkyo Region to be precise,
are thrown carelessly away.
More a Jeeves story using plot elements from Ranma than a true crossover. No
Ranma 1/2 characters appear and the humour is "British" rather than
slapstick. Good all the same.

The American agent, Saotome Ranma, parachutes into occupied France to help
the French resistance fight Nazi Germany.
The characters are in interesting roles and have new nationalities (lucky
for them, who'd want to be Japanese in WWII?) remains to be seen how the
story comes together.

universe and they decide to resolve the argument by swapping universes for

A silly spoof of both series featuring many cameo's from other anime
universes. Uneven but very good at its best.

A reasonably straight forward fight-fest against supernatural entities. It
will have more meaning to those that know the video game.

Another stranger wanders into the Nerima district seeking vengeance on
Saotome Ranma. This enemy is Teneme, master of mystical sword techniques
and really good at various other martial arts, he's also handsome,
intelligent (by Ranma 1/2 standards) and cursed to turn into a Tiger
whenever he gets wet (and guess who's fault THAT is).
The story centers on Teneme coming to Nerima, fighting Ranma, beating Ranma,
losing to Ranma and then settling in to become one of the "Regulars" as he
studies the "Anything Goes" style of martial arts.
