It seems this was never covered, but I got the idea from the first time I
saw part 2 of Jupiter Jazz . . .

When Jet found Faye in Gren's apartment, she was on his bed, handcuffed, and
rather despondent. The question that popped in my mind, did Gren rape Faye?

Yes, it's implied that Gren is gay, but rape isn't about sex as much as it
is about control. After finding out Gren's secret (his relationship to
Vicious, not the "other one"), she was rather anxious to contact the others, if
not at least get away. Gren wanted to reassert control, certainly keep her
there until he had finished his own plans for Vicious; she had now fired her
gun at him, so he may have had to do something drastic to show he was in
control . . .

The idea of a gay man using his body to gain power over a woman was
actually shown in real-life, when Richard Hatch rubbed his naked body against
Susan Hawk in "Survivor: All-Stars"; he obvously got no sexual gratification
out of it, but he did devastate her psychologically, which was the basic goal .
. .

I doubt it. Why would he? He just wanted her out of the way so he could
meet with Vicious.

>Yes, it's implied that Gren is gay,

Uh, yeah.

No, she wasn't. After seeing the picture and hearing the message, she
stayed and talked to him; or rather, listened to his story.

She did it after she knew of his plans to go off to see Vicious, which they
both saw as a suicide mission. She was trying to stop him from killing
himself. She certainly didn't do it to try and get away from him.
And if he had, don't you think she'd've been injured more, not too mention
either much more pissed off or much more withdrawn.
Besides, she even says he didn't.

Jet asked, and Faye said no:

Jet: "He was one of THOSE kind of guys?"
Faye: "What are you saying? Gren... isn't like that."

This is why I've always had a problem with the English dub at this point,
because of the possible confusion. Here's how the dub says it:

Jet: "Oh, I get it. He's one of THOSE kinda guys, huh?"
Faye: "What are you talking about? You mean Gren? He's not like anyone
else."

It's a lot more ambiguous. It can still be construed as a denial, but it
could also be construed as an evasion.

That's another thing. Even if I were to agree with all of what Antonio
said about control and all that, Gren ISN'T like that. Nothing in what
(admittedly little) we see about him suggests he'd do such a thing,
regardless of his sexual orientation.

Well, yeah, it certainly doesn't really answer the question, does it? ~_~
