My guess is the next series to become part of the CCG craze would either
be Card Captor Sakura (or whatever they decide to call it) or Yu-Gi-Oh
which I believe is being looked at by FUNimation.

Ever been to my website? 149 home-made Ani-Mayhem cards so far...

In terms of game playability, Yu-Gi-Oh is the single worst trading
card game I have *ever* seen. And I have seen quite a number of them,
both American-made ones and Japanese ones.

On my scale which gives Pokemon Card, Monster Farm Battle Card and L5R
all "7"s, I'd give Yu-Gi-Oh a zero ("0"). Its very existence is an
insult of the intelligence of the human race.

Yes. And it completely sold out of it's run within 9 months.

Has anyone messed with the real version of the card game from FF8?

Yep... September 1996. It finally went out of print last year.
Only 5000 copies were printed, but it's just as well.

I'm kinda proud of that game. ^_^

There's a few left (a box, I think, though since all the decks are the
same -- a long story about that -- you'll only need one deck, really).
Also, check e-bay. My father's selling the last of them via dutch
auction for about $7.50 a deck (I believe).

E-mail me if you'd like one. I can't guarantee all orders (for those
of you who read an e-mail as well), but I can certainly try. ^_^

It was fun. Too bad at the time I couldn't afford to get more then the
promo decks.

Are there not a few (web)pages with additional cards?

To open the thread up some more.
Anyone know about a CCS CCG? (too many CC in there I think)
I purchased a CCS "Clow Card" set for her b-day (on the 23rd) and
inside is a sealed pack of what looks like a CCG along with the key
chain and the full set of Clow Cards. (Since it would be rude I have
to wait till she dismembers the wrapping to see them I'll post again
once I find out)

Fortunately for you, there never was anything beyond the promo decks.
(Which did result in some cards having useless abilities because they relied
on cards never printed.)
