Hello all,

I decided to stop using Crunchyroll. I never had a paid account.
However, I simply decided that the content there just wasn't worth my
time or effort. After looking carefully at other sites, it appears
that everything I want / need is on YouTube and Hulu. I deleted CR out
of my IE favorates list as well.

Also, after being with the same employer for 15 years (I'm 39), I'm
going back to school on Monday, Nov. 30th. Classes start at 9am, so I
won't have time to watch CR even if I wanted too.

Mike / Starcade: You were (and still are) absolutely correct. It took
me a little while, but I eventually saw the light. Stay on message.
Don't let anybody discourage you. Keep the fires burning. Never give
up the good fight. Thank you very much. (No joke - completely
sincere.)

Best regards,

Nice way to totally trash any credibility you may have had. Also,

Really? Considering that he said more than once in 2008 the entire anime
industry would be bankrupt no later than summer 2009, I find that *very*
difficult to believe.

As far as I know, he never admitted that he was wrong, either.

I believe that **strictly in terms of the CrunchyRoll.com web site**,
Starcade was and still right. I was wasting my time and effort with CR
and I eventually came to the realization that I was doing so. It was
nice to see a few subtitles episodes of Galaxy Express 999. However,
the dubbed version of Gun Frontier really sucked - it basically made
me sleepy. I felt that all the other anime on the site was aimed at a
younger demographic (I'm 39) and not worth my time. Because of this,
I took CR out of my IE favoeate list and I don't plan on returning any
time soon. It really is just that simple.

I don't archive everything I post to the group, but I pretty sure I
told Mike (in the opened fourm of the NG) that I don't believe in
getting as "flustered" as he does about the issues floating around in
the anime world. I *know* I told him that if I shut down the
newsreader softare, the issues go away. I also know I told him that
anime are just cartoons and if I have to choose between real-world
issues and anime issues, I will allways choose the real-world issues -
the anime is just (and allways will be) a simple hobby.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

I'm very sorry. I try not to use texting shortcuts when I write for
the Usenet. Any enlightenment you'd be willing to provide would be
greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

"FIAWOL" means "Fandom Is A Way Of Life" (see
http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/FIAWOL); "FIJAGH" means "Fandom
Is Just A Goddam* Hobby" (see
http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/FIJAGH).

In my follow-up post in this thread, "TEHO" means "To Each His/her
Own" (see http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/TEHO). Also in that
post, I use ">" to mean "is greater than" (meaning "is superior to" in
this context).

Also, I forgot to add that "IMHO" means "In My Humble Opinion" (see
http://www.acronymfinder.com/imho.html).

Bill,

FIAWOL and FIJAGH pre-date texting by a large margin. They predate the
internet and (AFAIK) usenet as well.

And alt.binaries.multimedia.anime apparently.

There's a FAQ there, on how to request things, maybe you should read that
first.

Geo,

I have it set as one of my folders on Forte Agent. Happosai said he'd
try to post the original Japanese version of Saber Riders and the Star
Sheriff. I'd want to see at least one episode even if it was
completely and totally raw.

Take good care,
Bill N.
