So "Casshern Sins" finally ended with episode 24, after the "near" ending of
episode 23. To a good extent, as I expected, the final episode was a
somewhat of an "art house" ending, with a bit of deliberate vagueness which
could allow a sequel or more likely some OAVs.

All-in-all, I felt that the series handled the drama of the post-apocalyptic
story fairly well, but what really stood out to me time and again were the
artwork and color schemes which essentially set up the story lines. Bright
colors were used very sparingly and so gave a jarring effect when they did
appear, such as on Luna during the middle portion of episode 24.

In any event, although I was generally impressed by what I saw, in the end
"Casshern Sins" isn't a series that I particularly want to watch again so I
won't be ordered the Japanese Blu-Ray release (although I suspect that it
will be quite spectacular to watch in that format). However, if a more
affordable North American release ever appears I might consider that.

- Lyuze dies happy in Casshern's arms.

- Oji dies at his work bench (a "workaholic" to the end)

- Casshern has no problems going back into combat mode when he wants to get
to one last meeting with Luna.

- Braiking Boss's "crown" is not very impressive, nor are his fighting
abilities

- Luna has quite the "sword fetish" - maybe all she really needed was a good
roll-in-the-hay with Casshern to relieve her stress

- Teen-aged Ringo is much more attractive than her kid self, but her voice
is just as irritating

I'll certainly buy this one if anyone licenses this one, I loved it from
the beginnging to the end, though this one wasn't nearly as good as I
hoped.

*snif*

I liked Lyuze. They don't have to make robots that cute, do they? :)

You can take the robot out of the war, not the war out of the robot, or
something like that.

That was silly, I was hoping for a big showdown, it was over before you
could blink.

Ringo was one thing I didn't particularly enjoy in this anime. And I'm
still trying to figure out how robots 'grow'.

Isn't that the same one he had in the '70s anime?

Yeah, Braiking Boss was severely underused in this anime.
