Has anyone ever thought of the fun we might have trying to assign
R.A.A.M. members to anime character types or even specific characters
based on the persona they project here with their posts? Male or female
would not matter, just if the character seem to fit. I would not want
to make anyone upset, so the understanding is this is all in fun.
Myself, as a possible starter might be akin to Akane in here non-Kamper
mode a s a nerdy type studious and wordy person. You can characterize
any member, or even yourself if you wish. Another if I might be bold
would be our missing EFF, as a Tsundere character. I have a specific
character in mind also, but can't remember her name/anime.

How about some one giving it a try. Oh, and you can characterize
someone that has already been done, if you think your idea is better.
No justifications are needed, but can be given if you wish.

^___^

If it's who I was thinking of, for some reason I keep thinking
Dilandau from the Escaflowne TV series ^_^.

Funny thing is, a while back I realized that I had accidentally wrote
a prototype version of _The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya_ back in
high school.

I'd like to think that I'm not as crazy as Haruhi, but I think some
people (hi, ex-CAPOW people!) might be inclined to disagree.

Inu-Yasha, I have a pick for you. Don't take it wrong, I'll explain
it.

AL from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Because you're always trying to "make nice" and keep things
interesting. You post thread starters and seem kind and generous in
your responses. All good traits IMO.

If I were going to stick to that particular anime, I can come up with
a couple of others too.

Cap would be ED. A little bit whiney, sure of himself, bold and
adventurous. And stubborn. But all in good ways, I love reading
Cap's posts.

Gee, maybe this might not be the best idea, the more I think of people
and characters, the less polite this might become. <grin>

I'm trying to think of a character for Rob, but I can't come up with
someone that is presiding in the background, knowing almost all,
dispensing his wisdom when necessary, but friendly and congenial at
the same time. Hmmm, maybe Maes Hughes (if I stick with FMA here).

Cool, good ones, nice explainations. Now who would be Roy Mustang?
Thank goodness we don't have any Homunculi.

OK, Gnat, which one?

" *snaps fingers and starts flamewar* "

Flamewar!?! ROTFLMAO! That was the best response I've seen in
years!

Actually, it was you Sea Wasp that made me think that maybe I should
stop there. I wasn't thinking of Roy for you, but of Envy. Quick to
fight with those you dislike, but knowledgeable and even friendly when
you want to be.

But I do like you as Roy. It does seem that in your private little
war you have some larger motive going on in the background. Or maybe
not. Maybe you just like to start fires <grin>.

Originally I was thinking of changing animes altogether and going with
Inuyasha for you. Quick to fight, faithful to your friends (this
group as a whole). A good guy to have around when needed, but easily
flies off the handle and jumps into battle without much thought.

ENVY?

I'm not a sociopathic little twit. In the first series he's a sourpuss
Luser with a sadistic streak, in the second he's a pure monster without
a redeeming feature to his name.

If I'm one of the Homonculi, I'm either Fuhrer Bradley/Pride or Greed.

Quick to

All that has transpired here has done so according to my design.

I'd prefer to be Piccolo. :)

I would have to go with Greed. Mainly because you do stick to your
principles like he does, and no human alive is badass enough to be Bradley.

And if no one's stepping up to be the Alphonse, I'll be the first.

Whew! I was afraid you were headed toward "Gendo Ikari" there. [wipes
brow in relief]

(I wouldn't dream of suggesting a character for myself, mainly because I
can't think of one. Maybe the Chief from "You're Under Arrest", except
that I see a lot of differences between him and me.)

> Hmmm, maybe Maes Hughes (if I stick with FMA here).

I could see that... except I don't like how he ended up. ^_^

As for one of the other regulars: He's a man who knows his way around a
guitar, but life's dumped on him lately and he's looking for a change.
Ooji Tanaka from "Black Heaven" is a lot like Dave Watson, except that
Dave's not "run into the ground" nearly as far as Ooji. I'm sure
somebody can find a better match for Dave...

Dilandau was (almost) always crazy. ELL had moments when he was willing
to admit he wasn't right. (Not many near the end, but some...)

I'd match ELL to Xellos from "Slayers Try" (not "Next") - always right
even when he wasn't, obnoxious even when that got in the way of getting
the outcome that he wanted, and ultimately didn't really care about
anybody but himself.

When I was much, much younger, I was very much the Ataru Moroboshi (from
Urusei Yatsura) type.

Nowadays, I have essentially morphed into Cherry (also from UY)...
