Wow, makes my collection seem downright skimpy. :) I have about 120 or so
tapes, probably about a half dozen fansubs, four DVDs (with likely at least
4 more on the way) and about a half dozen CDs.
Arnold Kim
About 80 pro tapes, half a dozen fansubs, about a dozen DVDs, and about 10
anime music CDs.

That's it.
And they were free.

I have 29 tapes.
I would have more, but a lot of stuff is not available in Australia or is
rediculously expensive.
(Eg Viz tapes are $55 each)

about 12 Sonmay CDs, aprox 25 commercial dub tapes, 4 commercial sub tapes,

Good God, *look* at all this stuff!
VHS:
30 professional*
10 fabsubs (all for series not currently licensed in the US, thank you
very much)
Every episode of ROBOTECH, taped off air; and I'm keeping them until
the DVDs come out, dammit!
DVD:
40 professional*
CD:
18 (oh, look: here's LOVE, LIVE, ALIVE from MOSPEDA. Haven't heard
that in awhile...)
RPG games:
Series-specific (ie, Tenchi Muyo, BubbleGum Crisis): 9
General (ie, Big Eyes, Small Mouth; Mekton Z): 5
Other stuff:
1GB of anime music videos (the best: Kevin Caldwell's ENGEL!)
EVA action figures (they're NOT dolls!)
Ryo-ooki and Kero-chan dolls (they're NOT action figures!)
A Clow deck (unopened) (so far).
-----
*For simplicity, I'm counting boxed sets as 1 item, since that's the
way I bought them. So, SABER MARIONETTE J, six tapes, is 1 item. The
ULTIMATE TENCHI DVD collection, 2 discs, is 1 item.
SPrintF --- Master of the Java Sutra
About 106 commercial tapes. (39 of which are all 77 eps. of Star Blazers.)
And about 20 fansubbed tapes.
About 40 LDs, 4 DVDs (no DVD player yet though... ????? ^_^), and 15 CDs of
which 2 are NorthAmerican releases.
Oh, and about 1.5GB of anime intros and trailers to boot!
More or less,
Kyle
Hmm at last count around 50 commercial tapes (sold most of them in
anticipation of dvds), 400 or so fansubs (which I will gladly replace
with dvds ASAP), and around 500 unsubbed tapes. When you throw in the
DVDs, VCDs, and various eps on CD I'm WELL over 1000 tapes :) All this
in a 1 bedroom apartment :) :) :)

I have around 30 tapes total (commercial tapes and fansubs) and 2 DVDs. I
usually don't buy my anime; I rent them.
I don't bother counting all my tapes, because I don't care that much.
A hundred or so videos I really care about. A couple hundred videos
in my closet that I don't care about so much. 90% subtitled 9% raw
1% dubbed. Mainly subtitles in other words. :) 4 Nuku Nuku CD's,
The Best of Anime CD. Pokemon CD's. DB mange 25-42. 10 random
volumes of Bastard. 10-15 volumes of Ranma 1/2. Bunch of Doramon
manga from when I was a kid. Nuku Nuku manga.
Ghost Sweeper Mikami manga. You're Under Arrest manga.
Sailor Moon manga. Newtype Nuku Nuku TV 100% Complete. Cammy Gaiden.
Anime movie guide. Samuri From Outer Space. Bunch of Newtype and
Anime V going back to like 1992 or so. Some European anime magazine
with Nuku Nuku on the cover. Some Animerica. Some of the Viz Ranma
1/2 and Urusei Yatsura stuff from 1994-1995. DBZ 2, DBZ 3, Bastard!,
Ranma 1/2 SFC games. Doramon, DB FC games. Bunch of Kinnikuman toys.
Nuku Nuku, Lina Inverse, and Cammy figures. 2 or 3 DBZ card decks.
1 Sailor Moon card deck. DBZ, Sailor Moon, Slayers, Nuku Nuku posters.
Bunch of cards and stickers from DBZ, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon.
Probably more stuff, but that is all I can think of off the top of
my head w/o looking around. Someday soon I will get a DVD player.

They're subtitled videos made by fans. Basically, they're copies off of the
Japanese original release with English subtitles added on with the help of
some special computer program.
Arnold Kim
Ranma 1/2 : ALL (Total 38)
Kimagure Orange Roal : ALL (Total 18)
3x3 Eyes : 1 - 27
DBZ : ALL (Forgot the total number. Was around 42)
Ah, my goddess : 1 - 12
Slam Dunk : ALL (Total 31)
Love Hina : 1 - 6
Maison Ikkoku : ALL (Total 15)
Gunsmith Cats : 1 - 6
AI won't stop (? One that the author of Love Hina draw before) : ALL (Total
9)
Eh... There are some more than this that I can't write the name, and there
were some that I lost... like Dragon Half 1 - 4...

Heh. You're like my mom, in that you call DVD's "tapes" and it bugs me for
some reason I can't figure out.
I just refer to VHS as "tapes" since I assume they're called that due to
having a reel of magnetic tape inside of the plastic exterior, upon which
the video and audio is stored.
If you want a term for VHS, DVD, and LD, I'd just use "Videos".
-Erich Owens
o_O Isn't that about only $27US? That's actually cheaper, compared to our
prices... But at least you guys get glossy, protective, clamshells for each
and every tape! The cardboard pieces of crap we get in the states get
damaged and frayed so easily...
I find it surprising that I can find EVA in like every single video
store/Target. And disturbing, considering that at one bookstore, each tape
was only $24AUS (About $15USA) but unfortunately, they were all dubbed and
PAL. =\

It couldn't have been... I had to hold off on a shipment of manga in
July until vol. 21 came out. Trust me on this one - I've been on
Hitoshi Doi's mailing list for said series since 1996, as well as it
being my favorite manga series.

1 VHS: recorded broadcast of dubbed Kiki

Hmm...
108 import DVDs (across 12 series)
96 domestic DVDs
26 import LDs
10 domestic LDs
254 VHS.
2 domestic VCD (from CPM)
I guess the video games and posters don't count. I'm not including
fansubs.

PAL's better, unless you're Neil Nadelman :) . You should have a
multi-system player; we all do, and it's better if you like HK films [Yay
SBS!]. Some people can pick up the lower framerate, but if you can't [like
me!] you get *much* higher resolution, effectively for free...
