The newset issue of Playboy has a short article about anime and the fact
that it is growing up with its audience.

I thought that was the only reason people buy Playboy. ;)

It is. Ever since actual hardcore porn has gotten more and more
accessible, more people are seeing Playboy's pictures for the airbrushed
lameness that they are.

?? No it's not. If anything, Anmerican culture's view of animation is
growing into IT. There's been anime for adults for decades.

Hey, even my mum (who works in a shop that sells all kinds of printed
stuff, but sadly no books anymore - thank god they kept the manga) takes
an issue of (the German edition of) Playboy home every now and then
because she wants to read some of the articles...

Not that I mind... ^_^

It is the newest issue, February 2005. It has Teri Polo from Meet the
Fockers on the cover.

Actually, I seem to remember an article on manga in Playboy back in
the 60's. Don't remember if they mentioned anime, but what I remember
was mainly about the violence in the Japanese comics. That was back
when the "Comics Code" had pretty much neutered American comics.

LOL Yay!!!! That show was pretty good, or maybe
Tiny Toons was just so bad in comparison.
