spotlighting the various original universes which comprise
HIPcomix.com. Akonkid's Liberty Grove is the prime location for most
stories involving the squadron of superheroines, the League of
Liberty, as well as a special branch of female policewomen, the
Femcops. The ironically named Liberty Grove was once notorious as one
of the most crime-ridden and corrupt places in the free world, with a
police force helpless to keep law and order and its citizens held in
constant fear as criminals, murders, drug dealers, prostitution, and
human trafficking ran rampant in the streets.
It was this blatant anarchy that eventually drove a few citizens to
extreme measures, and three of them decided to take matters into their
own hands and fight evil on equal footing as lawless but righteous
vigilantes. Originally content just to defend their homes and loved
ones from harm, the costumed heroines eventually decided that their
strength alone was not enough and forged an unbreakable alliance. Thus
these three heroines: Kat Krusader, a reformed cat-burglar and escape
artist, Golden Girl, a woman endowed with great powers at her birth,
and Duality Dame, a martial artist of incomparable skill and
fortitude, created the fledgling League of Liberty.
The three heroines successfully put a damper on the widespread crime
and became idols and icons in the process, their brave actions
influencing many young crimefighters to take up the cause and join
them in their battle against evil. The roster for the League of
Liberty quickly swelled in size and now holds about two dozen members
with the original founders doing all they can to prepare many of their
young recruits for the difficult battles ahead.
The League of Liberty was fully embraced by the citizens of Liberty
Grove as heroes, saviors, and liberators, and championed for doing
what the local authorities could not. This left the police force
embarrassed, condemned, and ridiculed. Police Chief Harry Storto,
himself a very corrupt man who had earned a large profit from bribes
and criminal activities, publically denounced the League of Liberty’s
activities as unethical and illegal, but when faced with public
accusations, he was forced to create his own sub-division of the
police force to appeal to superheroine sympathizers. Thus, the Femcops
were created, an all-female division of the police force tasked with
carrying out the most difficult missions and assignments and going to
extreme means to keep the peace.
Now, with the League of Liberty and Femcops patrolling the streets,
Liberty Grove is a far safer place to live in, and yet for every
brave, strong-willed, and powerful heroine, there is an equally
powerful, vile, and devious villain just waiting to stake out his
claim in the criminal underworld and turn the city of Liberty Grove
back into a playground for madmen and maniacs.

With Amy's help, Talia managed to turn the tables on Lilith, leaving
the cruel would-be mistress bound, gagged, and naked in her own
chambers. But that was the easy part, the two heroines still must
escape Lilith's fortress undetected.
Before they can even make an attempt, however, the pair is discovered
by Callisto, who offers to help them in exchange for Lilith's rune
talisman that she claims kept the exotic mercenary under her control.
Talia and Amy, having little choice but to agree, are lead through a
series of tunnels underneath the fortress to what Callisto claims is
am escape route... but is this just the start of another trap? Find
