PROTOCOL
----------
1) It's best to contact the subtitler via email, telephone, or snailmail
to tell them that you're interested in getting copies of their subtitles.
For some subtitlers, it's required that you contact them first. Other
subtitlers have their address listed, so an initial contact isn't completely
necessary, but still recommended. Your tapes are more likely to get done
quicker and be taken better care of if the person remembers your name.
2) Follow the rules (if any) that the subtitler/distributor has set in order
to get copies. Any breaking of the rules will decrease the speed in which
copies are made, and possibly offend the dubber and subtitler.
3) If there are no rules given, follow these basics:
a) Maximum of 2 tapes at a time (unless permission has been given to
the contrary).
b) Do not send cheap quality tapes. The tape brands Sony, Maxell, TDK,
and Fuji are your safest bet.
c) Right down EXACTLY what you want on a post-it note or its equivalent
on each tape. (EXACTLY= What anime, what episodes, what speed, etc)
d) Make sure you mark each tape with your name, address, phone number,
and email address.
e) Put your tapes and a self-addressed stamped padded envelope (make
sure the postage is correct) inside of another padded envelope
and mail it.
f) BE PATIENT! These people have put many hours of their time into
creating wonderful subtitles for you to enjoy and making copies
of them for free. Please show courtesy in waiting for your tapes.

the public, thereby increasing demand for anime in the consumer market as
a whole..Subtitles provide understanding to the non Japanese speaking
community, and create interest in anime that would not have happened as
easily without understanding the language. Nexus' aim is to spread the
awareness and exposure of anime by providing subtitled anime that has
not made it to the US. Distribution is made available to Anime Clubs
and organizations to maximize the publics exposure to anime.

Dubbing request procedure:
1) READ THE RULES. Follow them TO THE LETTER. If you can't
read these instructions, I don't see how you'd get much
use out of a subtitled tape.
2) Send up to two tapes, along with a SASE. SEND NO CASH,
CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS. The less work there is for me to
do, the faster the turnaround time will be. LABEL YOUR TAPES.
3) Straight dubs ONLY. NO "mix n' match." Also, when
asking for tapes, ask for it by CONTENT, not its number.
4) NO BARGAIN-BASEMENT TAPES. Well-established name brands
ONLY (No Kodak or Polaroid, either).
5) Folks that do not follow these rules will have their tapes
returned UNDUBBED.
6) If you want to e-mail me before mailing a request in to see what
the current turnaround time is, fine. Do NOT ask me what my rules
are or what videos I have subtitled. Such messages will be
promptly DELETED.

getting fed up with receiving messages that begin with, "I saw your list in
that raa file, and was wondering what your rules were..." WHEN THE RULES
ARE PLAINLY STATED IN THAT LIST. Grr.
