AFTER HOURS

It was past closing time at Ukyou's Ryokan and Ukyou finished
washing up the plates. ALMOST finished washing up since Blade was still
eating.
Ukyou shook her head slightly. Blade, always coming around to
mooch a meal, and right at closing time to. But she couldn't resist that
lost puppy look he took on when she said that he would have to pay this
time.
Ukyou smiled softly as she watched Blade eat. No, she could
never refuse to give him something as small as a meal. Ever since Ranma
got married he had always stood by her side and was always willing to
lend a hand around the Ryokan. And...
"Is something wrong Ukyou?" Blade asked.
"Hmm??" Ukyou blinked as she was brought out of her thinking by
Blade's query.
"Are you all right?" he repeated. "You were just staring off
into space."
Ukyou blushed as she realized that she had been caught. The
blush quickly changed to an angry red.
"Blade! Since I was so nice as to cook for you, AFTER HOURS I
must add. You'll have no problem helping me clean up?"
"Uh..Sure!" Blade looked slightly confused and came around the
counter.
"Good!" Ukyou huffed "Take this to the storeroom. And this! And
this! and finally this!" Ukyou piled Blade's arms high with dishes,
pans, spatulas and finally a pot of sauce. Blade buckled somewhat under
the load.
"Ooof! If your going to make me carry this much. At least let me
change into (DEEP MANLY VOICE) MECHA BLADE!!"
"Don't you dare!" Ukyou adomished. "A bull in a china shop is
bad enough. But a mecha bull in my Ryokan? Only if you pay the cleanup
bill!"
"Do'we!" Blade waddled off as quickly as possible to the
storeroom.
Ukyou sighed and washed Blade's plate and flipped his stool onto
the counter. Blade no baka.
"Neh, Ukyou?" Blade called from the storeroom.
"What now?" Ukyou sighed.
"Do you want the sauce on the top shelf?"
Ukyou ran over to the storeroom "No Blade! I can't reach it up
there!"
Ukyou saw Blade standing on his toes with arm stretched out and
the pot of sauce balanced on his fingertips as he tried to edge the pot
onto the shelf. his other arm was filled with cooking pans.
"Not up here?" Blade said. He gripped the pot with his fingers
and started to bring it down but the pot tipped forwards and the sauce
came spilling out along with the lid which landed right on Blade's head.
"Ow!" Blade yelped as the pot quickly followed and bounced off
his head.
"Oh Blade!" Ukyou put her face in her hands "Your a mess. Come
over here!" Ukyou grabbed his arm and dragged him over to the sink. She
wet a towel and wiped his face.
"Ulpphh." Blade sputtered as Ukyou wiped the sauce off his face.
"I can do this."
"You'd find someway to destroy half the Ryokan in doing so.
"Ukyou's lips quirked to show she was joking. Blade sighed and let her
finish.
"Take off your shirt." Ukyou said. "You've got sauce down your
front, and I'll have to wash the shirt." Blade took off his shirt and
Ukyou wiped his chest.
As Ukyou was wiping off his chest, she noticed the wide scars
that were on it. Some were small nicks that he had gained in his
numerous fights. But one in particular reached all the way around his
midsection. A thick scar that showed evidence of a horrible wound.
Blade got this when Epsilon..Ukyou bit her lip. When Epsilon
blew Blade in half. Her thumb dropped down and lightly traced it.
"Umm. Ukyou?" Blade asked. But Ukyou wasn't listening. She had
stopped wiping him off and was staring at the scar.
Torn in half. Ukyou's eyes misted and she visualized him lying
in a pool of blood and gore. Blade, Baka Blade. That was the result of
his machoness. Taking on Epsilon and getting blown to bits. Ukyou's
hands gripped Blade's midsection, fingers tracing that scar. Blade, who
had comforted her when Ranma and Akane got married. Blade who was always
there. He had left her then.
"Ukyou?" Blade asked. Ukyou looked up and Blade was stunned when
he saw tears running down her cheeks.
"Why Blade?" Ukyou said softly. 'Why did you leave me?"
"I..Uhh.. I never ment." Blade found himself at a loss for
words.
"Blade?" Ukyou whispered.
"Hmm?"
"Promise me, That you'll never leave me like that again.'
"I promise." Blade smiled. "Getting killed can change a person.
I won't be doing that again."
"Death does change people." Ukyou murmured. Ukyou pushed herself
up by the toes and gently kissed Blade.
Blade was shocked and let Ukyou kiss him without resistance. He
tasted the salt of her tears as her lips lightly roamed over his. Her
lips pressed lightly on one spot then moved to another. Soon she moved
to peck at his cheek and neck.
"Uhh..Ukyou?" Blade was starting to get rather....awkward. And
shifted his stance slightly so that Ukyou wouldn't brush up against the

'Please." Ukyou placed a finger against his lips. "Don't say
anything. Just, follow me." Ukyou took Blade's hand and led him to the
stairs going up. "Turn off the light." she said and Blade's hand flopped
out and hit the switch, plunging the bottom floor into darkness.
Ukyou led Blade upstairs and into her room. Blade stood there
numbly as Ukyou stood with her back to him. She was moving her hands in
front of her.
"Uh..Ukyou?" Blade suddenly stopped short as Ukyou turned
around.
Ukyou had undone the front of her shirt and her bra. Blade's
eyes widened as he saw right there,Ukyou's breast. Ukyou's eyes were
half closed and her face was flushed. Blade suddenly felt a rising
pressure and his vision went red. "Urrghh. Ukyou!!"
"Oh No!" Ukyou suddenly leapt forwards and pinched Blade's nose
shut. Blade's head swelled up and his eyes bugged out as the blood that
was going to head out his nose searched in vain for another outlet.

managed to swallow and the blood went back down to it's proper places

Before Blade could say anything, Ukyou pushed him against the

Ukyou raised her head and her eyes were filled with joy and

I didn't want to wake you. After you finish your coffee. Take a bath,
take our clothes out of the washer and hang them outside to dry. Then
put the chairs down and heat up the grill, and take out the utensils.
I'll be back from the market and I expect everything to be set-up when I
return.
Blade hung his head "Oy!" He then noticed an additional message.
