This is going to be a tough one. We're looking for a cartoon that
starts in a blizzard, the mother chicken is trying to brood her eggs,
but her butt is too cold. She goes over to the stove and warms her
butt up to cherry red and goes to sit on the eggs. As she gets close,
all the eggs pop open and the little chickens scream; "DON'T DO IT!!!!
(quietly) We'll come out!"

I don't remember anything else about this cartoon, but I'd be
interested if anyone knows what it is.

Thanks.

It's a WB cartoon directed by Bob Clampett, but my memory stops there.

The kid managed to find it on his own after I posted this. It's called
"Booby Hatched." But thanks for trying!

Now I have to watch the thing... I thought they were chickens. Why
else would they be in a henhouse with a blazing stove?

Yep, you were right, they were ducks! Wow, it's amazing how badly you
remember something you've only seen once YEARS ago!

Nope, I had everything wrong except the "DON'T DO IT! We'll come out"
line.
The henhouse was a delapadated (sp) barn, the "stove" was a keresone
lantern that the mother duck "candles" the eggs with. I didn't watch
the cartoon past the "We'll come out" bit.
