The distributors of "Delgo" knew when they were licked. :-) The movie is
still out in a few theaters, but they apparently quit bothering to report their
boxoffice numbers.
"The Tale of Despereaux" opened to a lukewarm $3255 per theater average.
That matched its lukewarm critical reception.

The boxoffice will surely pick up during Christmas weekend, but I don't know if
it will endure past that.
Happy Holidays.

The resemblance of Delgo's protagonist to John McCain contributed to
its failure: Discuss. :-)
Did they? It looks more like the film was pulled completely, which
would be extraordinary. You'd expect it to be playing in some 52 seat
basement somewhere.

Bad Reboot's 'Crap Trek' 2009: "No Shat, No Show"
Yeah, studio execs pulling their own movie prematurely before Christmas
weekend to save face after "embarrassing" weekend grosses hit national
headlines?
That's NEVER happened before!.... 9_9
(But unlike "Treasure Planet", Delgo had it *coming*.)
Derek Janssen (and at least they're not joking about the OTHER movie
anymore)

Hell, Fox didn't pull the movie, they closed the studio! That Monday!!
I don't know about this week, but last week I used imdb.com to look for
showtimes near my area and I found a few theaters miles away. One theater in
Charlotte still had "Delgo" at least. I'm sure the movie will show up again
in dollar cinemas.
