I'm more of an early Supermarionation aficionado, so there's stuff I'm
curious about.
For instance, Tintin; did she always have cat eyes and telekinetic
powers?
And for that matter was she always the Hood's niece? Or is this
something created for the movie?
And how about the Hood's hideous red-headed henchwoman? Is she a movie
creation as well? Or did they have a really creepy puppet in the TV
show?
Also, what's with the audio? The voice track is all slightly out of
sync, but not consistently. Most of Penelope's dialog has the sound
preceding her mouth movements, but the Hood seems to be the other way,
and even when stuff does seem aligned, it still doesn't match, like they
took the audio from one take and the video from another. Am I watching
a botched transfer, or did they do this intentionally to make it look
like a puppet show?

"The Human Adventure Is Just Beginning"
I refuse to admit that this film exists.

No.

She's Kyrano's daughter, and Kyrano is the Hood's half-brother, so
technically, it's "canon".

I've heard that the puppets were actualy better actors.

This is the most powerful sigfile in the world and will probably blow your
head clean off.
It's been far too long since I saw any episodes, so I can't answer your
questions, but it's "Thunderbirds", so your fine ... with the obvious
exception of Jonathan Frakes' awful, barely recognisable, live-action
garbage.
As does anyone else with more than half a braincell. :-)
Even the animated Japanese show is WAY higher up the list.
Frakes' garbage is simply a "Spy Kids" clone re-using the Thunderbirds name.
Like most of Hollyweird's "resurrect the past" movies it's barely
recognisable, ill-fitting nonsense.
Frakes' himself admitted to not even knowing what Thunderbirds was, which of
course makes him perfect for the job in Hollyweird's eyes. He then watched a
few episodes and apparently knew everything ... except when you watch the
movie you can plainly see he knew absolutely nothing. :-(
Only did he refuse, he called the film: "The biggest load of crap I
have ever seen in my entire life."
Piss in Gerry Anderson's face rather than watch this film: it'll be no
less disrespectful and it'll take up less of your time.
Yep. It is definitely a pitiful excuse for a "Thunderbirds" movie made by
idiots who have no idea what "Thunderbirds" actually is.
I see in recent news that Hollyweird is now doing a movie based on Gerry
Anderson's UFO, which will undoubtedly be more unrecognisable
Hollyweird-ised garbage. :-(

Seems a little ironic really, given that he spent a lump of his life and
output appeasing the Merkans (how many times did he and his say that
design and creative decisions were made to allow the product to be sold in
the US?) only to be shafted creatively by this abortion of a movie.
At least Gerry had the good sense to stay away from it.

Makes sense though. wHollyWeird have been creatively bankrupt in the main
for so long now. They've bastardised much of their own stuff for profit
that now they want to do the same to the UK creations that we can't or
won't do ourselves. Until the beancounters are shown the door, expect
Space 1999 to follow in short order! :/

There's still a huge pile of these stupid "resurrect the past" movies in the
planning, and no sign of them ending any time soon. :-(
Thunderbirds
Fans of the 60s kids' series would do wll to
stay away from this disaster of an adaptation,
with its low-brow humour and stilted dialogue.
One star out of five
One star? I know it's Christmas, but...
I think one star is the lowest rating they can give. :-)
Yep, I checked it last night and their ratings system for reviews of movies
(on TV), DVDs, and games is:
one star = Bomb
two stars = Fair
three stars = Good
four stars = Very Good
five stars = Excellent
