Ok, everyone here reply to the message if you want some java moss. You
will probably have to pay shipping, but that should be minimal. I will
ask the dealer on prices.

Ok?

Ok, the deal is, $3 a bunch plus shipping. Credit card is preferred.
Email me with your address and I'll get you a total estimate.

Oh yeah, I'm not shipping this stuff, I'm just a contact.

It apparently doesn't tolerate heat during shipping very well. I received
some via UPS (prior to strike) 2 day delivery. It was about 98 degrees
here, they let it ride around in the truck all day. Total loss.

Thanks for the info. I assume you are getting a live guarentee, but
I'll have to check.

How well does it tolerate the heat in a Discus tank & how large is a
"bunch"?

Uhhh....The UPS truck ride was considerably hotter than a Discus tank.
Mine is doing well at 82 - 84 degrees. The "bunches" I got were about
fist sized I suspect....they fell apart when they died of the heat stroke.
(They were cheap and I didn't want to tear up the "bunch" I had already.)

A bunch is enough to cover completely a small to medium sized piece of
driftwood. According to baensch, it tolerates 64-86F. I always thought
of it as a coolwater plant though.

if you want some you'll need to reply to the other thread.

Hey guys,... 2 winters ago I left some outside (zone 6, Tn) in a huge tub
with a few GF. They sunk to the bottom and survived temperatures in the
high 30's and low 40's. The light was poor too as they were on a front
porch. These are the toughest plants I ever had in my 40+ years of keeping
fish & plants.
And 3 winters ago i had such an excess I put it outside on an uncovered
porch and it froze and thawed several times. Most of it still survived the
winter!!!

Does anyone know the best way to attach it to driftwood in an
established tank (I would have to start the tank all over if I removed
the driftwood). I found a store that sells a clump the size of my fist
for $4.98 and want to attach it to my pieces of driftwood.

Thanks,
Jayson
