I decided to continue my angelfish breeding efforts for an
agriculture project at school... The project is to start a small
business by means of selling specialty animals, such as rabbits,
gerbils, or in my case, angelfish (it's part of the Aquaculture unit).

Breeding is not a problem, I can do that. My problem is
raising the fry.. They always start to die, because they don't eat.
I have tried boiled egg yolk, I have tried pre-moistened crushed
flakes, among other things. I dont have time for brine shrimp or live
stuff, and I was wondering what else there was.

Are there any good powdered fry foods? Does LiquiFry really
work? I have never tried it. Please help me! I would like to be
successful in my attempts at raising the angels!!!

HI Ryan

You could try using live foods such as micro worms and vinegar eels
Check out my web page for more information! They are very easy to
culture, very easy to feed and dont die off like brine shrimp can live
in the water up to 3 days giving the fry a chance to eat them all. They
will also not polutte your tank they way egg yoke or liguid fry would.
If you want your fry to grow quick and healthy try live foods!!

I bought his set of three cultures and they are excellent. They are
easy to take care of and all you have to do is feed grindel worm one a
day, micro worms set up a new culture and vinger worms every couple of
months!! No Trouble. The Krib page offers some really good tips if you
purchase any of the above cultures. My fish go nuts for the grindel

Email if you have any questions

Anyone else notice the combination of .. business.. & .. no time ..?

Is this a sign of the "get rich, fast .. with no effort" that schools are
fostering?

When I raised angels, & I raised them for my business .. I used brine
shrimp and never 'lost any' .. The "work" involved hatching and feeding
brine shrimp is minimal, and the combination of brine shrimp eggs and
angel fry was a match made for perfection -- and takes very little time.

Frankly, angels themselves handle the spawning - and feeding them is
a minor part of the work.
For easier money with less work, try robbing a bank.

Absolutely. I am in school and raise angels and discus as a business.
If you don't have time to do the job right then maybe this isn't right for
you.

I can feed my fry brine shrimp on teh way out the door to work!

I just have to turn off the air before I step into the bathroom & then go down
& filter a teeny bit of water through a brineshrimp net & feed. Restore the air
& off I go.

When I get home, same routine. This usually exhausts a batch in a 2 liter
bottle & I start a new one. Keep 2 going at all times & you are set!

Water changes take much more time (20 to 30 minutes at most!)
