Buy yourself an automatic feeder, they can be programmed and will hold
enough food for you untill you return from your trip.

Spring the extra bucks for a good one, and test the dosage as well as the
operation/location if possible. I have had problems with them
over-feeding/underfeeding and clogging from moisture even though they seem
to be located in a "dry" spot. Don't locate anywhere near filters, etc.
They soak up moisture like a sponge if you give them the chance.

If you want to use an automatic feeder, make sure they are used to the
new food before you leave. Feed less than usual, there will be no water
change during that period. Personally I would stop feeding the day
before leaving and perform a 50% water change. They will survive without
food for a week and this way you are sure to maintain good water
quality. This is what I do and I never got any problem. Unless the fish
are very young ...

Don't mess around with the feeder unless you are 100 % sure it will work -
otherwise, it may do more damage than good.

They should be perfectly fine without any food for a week - definitely better
than if uneated food ruins your biological balance in the tank!

Best,

Listen to Ulrike.

I have left my tanks alone for ten (10) days without losing fish.

It may be more dangerous to feed them and risk overfeeding (tough with some
fish I know) But healthy fish should be ok for a week. Just make sur ethe tank
is clean first. A couple water changes and a good cleaning of the gravel should
do. Then make sure that you clean it when you get back.

You might want to cover the tank(s) with something to insulate them in case the
power goes out for more than a couple hours.
