Hi,
I would be grateful if you could help me find the name of the artist
who did the painting shown in this link:

It's really urgent.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Your library may have certain reference books, such as "Contemporary
Artists".
With a little luck you might be able to piece the puzzle together.

I think I'd call it "Dancing in the land of long legged ladies".

It looks like an airbrush job I once saw on the side of a van.

It might be a pastel. Hard to say.

To me, it looks like a Mexican artist's depiction of R. Crumb (if he had
been
a WPA artist).

I'm curious (read nosy). Lunch and potty stops are things that can be
'really urgent', but not usually artist idenification :)
best wishes,
janice

The OP tried three different newsgroups, and got no "urgent" answers
(although one respondent elsewhere mentioned "drugs").

Ah, well. The OP's no doubt dead by now from unknownitis.
If ONLY an appraisal could've been airlifted in time! Damn.

I think he was probably startled to death by actually staring too intently
at that painting!

I've been dancing around this one for a few days and then I took a
siesta. I didn't feel Monday was appropriate for an appraisal, what with
the demonstrations and sit outs and all,but after a Burrito Supreme and
a couple of tacos,i'm goinf to throw my sombrero in the ring with an
appraisal of 10,000 pesos......

At least the restaurants were open today here, so we could get a
sandwich.
