Hello,

I'm looking for an antique watercolor painters box. I've seen photos of these
that are substantially sized. Larger than a shoebox, certainly.

Does anyone know where I might look for these?

In the house sale of an antique water colourist!
Seriously. They do turn up because in the UK at least water colours were
such a popular medium among amateurs as well as being relatively cheap.
A certain amount of luck will be needed, however, in finding one

We do not know your definition of 'antique' but last time we looked both
'Windsor and Newton' and 'Rowney' were producing high end water colour
boxes in both wood and in metal that were nearly indistinguishable from
those made at the beginning of the 20th Century. We have never, by the
way, found any difficulty in getting refills for 19th Century ones.

Good luck.
