.......Check with your insurer prior to hooking up your stove. If your stove
does not have updated certification,(CSA or UL in North America) your policy
could be void in the event of a fire........

Thanks for the info, Sanity. I will keep that in mind. That's likely a
concern of distant future as I am currently in a rental and my landlord
would likely not be pleased. My only current interest in using the
stove would be emergency conditions, likely in an outdoor setting where
ventilation and such would not be of such great concern. As well, I am
still hoping that someone who has information about the stove itself,
its age (just a general range?) and if it is of value or not. While I
intend to keep it, these are still curiousities of mine.
