Martin Wood Stove/Range No. 8-16 Question

We recently aquired a cast-iron woodstove and I am very curious as to
the age and value. The exterior is in excellent condition, and there is
a small amount of rust in the cooking area. It has 4 burners, the
original turner, what appeards to be an oven. It is fully intact, and
missing no parts, and stands about 4 feet high, 3 feet wide and 5 feet
deep (just an estimate). The outside is decorated, tho not heavily so
and has impressions bearing the following:

Martin Stove & Range Co. Florence ALA

and on the front door:

Perfection

The top bears No. 8-16

I would appreaciate any information someone might be able to provide,
as internet searches have turned up nothing.

Probably not the kind of info you're looking for- but I can tell you that
your stove will bake biscuits that will be out of this world! How wonderful!

Thanks Janice! I can't wait to try it out. We had a huge ice storm that
knockd out our power for over a week last year, and I was just thinking
it would have been great to have this little stove back then!

.......Check with your insurer prior to hooking up your stove. If your stove
does not have updated certification,(CSA or UL in North America) your policy
could be void in the event of a fire........

Thanks for the info, Sanity. I will keep that in mind. That's likely a
concern of distant future as I am currently in a rental and my landlord
would likely not be pleased. My only current interest in using the
stove would be emergency conditions, likely in an outdoor setting where
ventilation and such would not be of such great concern. As well, I am
still hoping that someone who has information about the stove itself,
its age (just a general range?) and if it is of value or not. While I
intend to keep it, these are still curiousities of mine.

I have one, perfection 8 16 made in costa rica 4 burner and oven
