I have an oil painting of two horses, one black and one white, in what
appears to be a German farm landscape. The painting is quite large,
approximately 10 feet by 5.5 feet and is signed Späth. It looks very much as
if it were executed by someone who was an illustrator. Any help on
identifying the painter and period would be much appreciated. I am not sure
if it is U.S. or European, but it definitely is a Germanic scene.

Many thanks for any help.
