I have just recently purchased an electric grandfather clock.
According to info I've found on the web, based on the serial number,
it's dated 1947, and was sold by General Electric (although the works
are labeled Revere Clock Co. in Ohio). It's a 5 tubular bell,
Westminster chime, powered by a Telechron B3 rotor. The rear denotes
it as a Model 309.

Although I've found various information about
Telechron/Herschede/Revere/GE clocks of this general nature, I've been
unable to find anything about this particular clock, or valuations of
clocks in this category.

Can anyone direct me a resource where I might be able to find a value
for this clock? Thanks!

Rob,

These is a new book out "Electrifing Time" by Jim Linz. This book is a very
complete collection of the various models and values of Telechron/Revere
clocks. The model 309 is called the "Adams" and sold originally for $375.00.
It was in production from 1939 to 1951. If the clock is running and in
absolutely perfect condition, showroom quality, he lists the value as $
700-$800.00.

This is a very nice clock. I have one in my living room, but to be honest I
bought it before the book came out. I paid a little more than what was
listed.

Henry,

Thanks so much! I'll have to get a hold of that book.
