What means Breveté S.G.D.G.?

I´m researching on some old Cognac Londrés bottles:

I hope someone can tell me what Breveté S.G.D.G. means on these bottles?
I know it´s a frence patent, for technical specifications, but what, where
and why?
Perhaps you know where I can get more info?

In full, it's: "breveté sans garantie du gouvernement" - Patented
Without Guarentee of the Government". I gather it's a French
distinction that designates a technical patent in the U.S. sense, as
opposed to trademark and the old design patent number system that dealt
only with name and shape, which I think are designated by the French
government as "déposé".

Thank´s alot Gerald!!
I´ve been researching on these for months, and this is quite a
breakthrough!!

Now I just need to find out what they were made for.
I believe that these are much older than 1914-1918, so I´m not sure if the
WWI-story is true?
