In my opinion , a little better than average. S/he was comfortable
enough with what they were doing that there is no trace of stiffness.
Does anyone recognize the signature? I have to admit, I bought this
75% because I liked it and 25% because the other bidder always comes
on like when he bids everyone else should back off. Would appreciate
any input. Doug, would you stop watching your aquarium for a few
minutes and tell me if you think this is a waste of paint?

(*<~ LOL Well, that's scary enough. It's been raining steady for
two days and finally stopped. I turned on the Webtv to get online and
then I carried our 2 day Hefty bag of garbage out for pickup. Upon
returning inside I stopped at the aquarium to tap on the glass and feed
the fish (the old ones AND the 'new' ones). I then sat down at the Web
(about 30" from the aquarium) and started in r.a, only to read your post
telling me to 'stop looking at the aquarium'..... oy-vey ! Not only
was I looking around for the hidden camera, but I came damn near to
putting some pants on ( I 'had' them on when I took the garbage out,
btw).
That's a nice painting. I fiddled with my contrast and I looked both
near and far at the image & signature. It 'looks' like Davis to me. I'll
take another look later and dig out my book of Signatures of American
Artists and see if there's any similarity.

Thanks Doug. Altho I'm probably going to keep this one its good to know as
much about it as possible, so I really appreciate you taking the time to
look it up. I thought it may have been "David". The signatures book is
on my list - had planned to hit Santa up, but he has already suprised me
with a 17" flat screen liquid crystal monitor. Wowie! I didn't think i
had been THAT good! Thats really funny about the fish! As to the trousers:
no need to be formal on my behalf.
