I am looking for a working GE B&W Portable TV. The model number is
SF3101BK - (15SF Chassis)
I have no preference for the color of the cabinet. If you have such a
model I would be very interested in know what you are willing to sell
it for.

Thanks,
Mark

Can you provide a link to a picture of one?

Is this the one that's used in those Computer Space arcade machines?
I've seen pictures of those machines - and they use a regular TV set
for the video monitor. With some hacks like the speaker taken out and
mounted elsewhere in the game cabinet (or the back of the TV set
removed in order to increase ventilation, etc.)

Not sure if that's the one or not, but if it is, then yeah, it was used
in a lot of first generation video games, PONG being on of them. To a
restorer, nothing else will do. I've seen them fetch ridiculous sums on
eBay.

I don't think so. You can see a "Computer Space" machine in "Soylent Green".
As I recall, the CRT is much larger than one would find in a portable. (Of
course, that depends on how one defines "portable".)

Yes, it is.

"It's a General Electric Model Number SF3101BK 15 SF Chassis, or you
can try a SF3102VYE 15 SE Chassis. I have heard the Panasonic WV-5410
monitor will do, it's a 15"
The TVs are late 60's early 70's black&white units that were using
vaccuum tubes.
I have a number of pictures showing the guts on my site. I also have a
contact who services Computer Space machines plus their TV sets.

Easily a "portable". This model is a very slim, very lightweight TV.

I'd forgotten that there was a time when compact 19" sets were considered
portables. (114-degree deflection, dontcha know.) Indeed, at that time the
best-selling B&W sets were 19" models with handles, retailing for around
$130 to $140.
