No snow yet here in the city.

Light flurries and drizzle, mixed. Total crap.
Bring on the white stuff.

In the snow mood Bill. When it gets knee deep, I retire to the kitchen to
cook and clean, and quaff several frosties. Also listen to Beethoven, Bach,
and other classics.
Strange, I know. Must have been those years my wife and I would get snowed
in, and had nothing else to do but cook and clean, and make babies.
Nobody sells snow chains anymore, but..... NO SNOW! There is perhaps
3/8 of an inch if that.
I'll take it.
I did Hank's modification on that RCA and I musta screwed up or
something. Volume was loud and distorted with the bias cell jumpered,
then not as loud but still distorted after the mod. I wanted to see
if I could align it before asking for more help, its definitely a
little off. Just recapped my signal gen so I'll find out shortly.

I live in Monroe, a bit West of Marlboro. We got a disappointing two inches
or so of snow. I was hoping we would get at least six.

Well, it's currently snowing out in Ranger TX.
Mmmm, brick streets, this should be entertaining.

"hey y'all - hold my hot buttered rum and watch this!!!"
People are incredibly stupid.
I drove over to Eastland (6 miles up I-20) to buy
food at Wal-Mart. At least 5 vehicles sideways on
the median or shoulder. And ONE a**hole that came
across the median heading towards me before he went
off into the ditch to my right.
Sigh...Back home where it's warm and toasty.

So is that better or worse than LA?

I warned you about I20 a long time ago ;>) The west end sees snow so
seldom that when it does - one is far better off watching from afar...
>Sigh...Back home where it's warm and toasty.
Welcome to the south, y'all!
rg
>So is that better or worse than LA?
Oh, that's easy -in the South - it doesn't snow that often - and when
a driver does screwup and hit you - at least they say " Excuse me -
I'm really sorry. My insurance will take care of it. In the mean time
- here - have a brew."
In LA they scream "FU" and claim it was YOUR fault! (and it's usually
in something other than English, at that!).

Whats English? ;-)

They closed I-40 in AZ Tuesday for about 3" of snow and stupid
drivers.

Ya know, this isn't any different from when it rains in
Los Angeles. Same stupid drivers, sames stupid accidents.
