reverse glass painting

I have one reverse glass painting, dated around 1850's. Frames are from that
era and glass is 'wavy'. The painting is nice, but was done by a young
woman. I also have a painting of a Currier & Ives print that was colored in
on glass. This one has a rip and is not the best shape possible. It was also
done in the 1850's by a young woman. Does anyone have any information on
this type of art and where I could get an apprasial for sale. Thanx! Donna
