Let's get real, this place is only here for people (like me earlier)
searching for the missing RGP on google. There are already a number of
'new' groups set up - some claiming to be the next big thing, but the
people who use anything other than google have no intention of moving
over to a new group. Here's how to post to the proper RGP without
google.

"Download Thunderbird.

You can set up a news account at various places, here's a free one
that lets you post 25 messages a day:

Server address:

news.aioe.cjb.net port 119

Put Your handle, your email address.

Right click on the account name in the left pane. Select
"subscribe". It will connect and download the newsgroup list. Type
in rec.games.pinball to subscribe.

Retention is about a week on this server. There are premium services
available elsewhere, and depending on your ISP news access might still
exist. Some of the text only/low bandwidth (i.e. don't download
binaries) are very inexpensive.

Thanks to Scott for the tips. I've just done it, and while it's
clearly different to what I'm used to, it's much better than having
the google people spread out among other groups.
