the rec games is just plain GONE. Guess we will have to start over.

Really how could a usnet group disappear?? Isn't this whey everyone
didn't want a forum? The repair info alone is priceless.
Report this to Google I have lets see if some geek can resurrect the
archives, Maybe we should make a forum, with very few moderators, spam
are the only posts to get deleted.

part of It is still there, I have used a news reader program to see it
I see posts from 12 aug 2003 to dec 2004 only on news.giganews.com. I
will look some more for sure.

Google dropped the ball is my guess.

I am an IT guy but not a news group guru.

Yeah, I'm gutted that years and years of repair information has
disappeared for google users (like me). It's one of the major reasons
I got so hooked on the hobby, because there was nothing that couldn't
be fixed!

Setting up a new group or forum isn't the answer as many of the non-
google users have no intention of moving somewhere new. Better to use
ways to still access the 'real' RGP
