Don't know if it's just RGP or the whole of google-land

Sure, it's expo weekend, but no 'new' posts (according to google) for
two days!

If it's just RGP, then you can use the message below to post without
google!

Yes, I'm stuck on Oct. 3rd.
Plus, I did put a posting on the group anyway, which I haven't seen
the last 2 days.
However, someone replied back to me through my own email address. How
did they see the posting? I don't understand.

Lots of people read the newsgroup in ways other than google. I presume
these people have normal service.

here's how to post/read RGP without google

Here's how to post to the proper RGP without google.

"Download Thunderbird.
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

You can set up a news account at various places, here's a free one
that lets you post 25 messages a day:

Server address:

news.aioe.cjb.net port 119

Put Your handle, your email address.

Right click on the account name in the left pane. Select
"subscribe". It will connect and download the newsgroup list. Type
in rec.games.pinball to subscribe.

Retention is about a week on this server. There are premium services
available elsewhere, and depending on your ISP news access might still
exist. Some of the text only/low bandwidth (i.e. don't download
binaries) are very inexpensive.
