how to use streamload?

I was wondering how one uses the streamload account? Add your list to
the "streamload account list" thread and then.....?

Well, I guess you just wait for an email notification that someone
sent you a file. Basically, the list is there so that if something
cool is found it can be sent to everyone at once. Makes things much
easier. I'm not sure if you can set streamload to not email you if
there is a new file, but if you can and you did, you could either set
it back or just check the site every now and then to see if there's
anything new in your inbox. If there is, simply download it like you
would any other file. If you're not a paying member though, you may
have to go one song at a time, or may not be able to download full cds
that are in zip because they're large.

you need to sign up for an account...you can get a free account but
you're limited to downloading 100 megabytes per month, which is about 2
or 3 cds worth.
you can pay more and have a higher download limit. Also, whatever is
sent to you can be saved on your account, without a limit. Other
streamload users can send you file, for instance I could send 20
rebetika cds and it woldn't require me to upload anything since I have
it all on my streamload account, which is on their servers.
The only time consuming part is that you need to download it to your
computer. Check your account!

I originally set up a free account, but chagned & now pay the minimum
($10US mthly) - this has allowed me to downlaod as much as has been
sent to me... Think of it as an email address, where you can receive
files from others. Unless yo delete them from your streamload account,
they will stay there. To use the fiels, you donwlaod them to your pc-
this is where the number of megabytes plays a role, so they give you a
choice of paying more for more megabytes, as I said, I have found that
the cheapest option provided more than enough downloads for me

It's a great way to get some footage of videos etc which migth not be
avaialable to us otherwise, eg private footage of someone's band
playing etc
