Hi All,
My old friend, Kosmos G, has a cool new album out that some of you may enjoy, or at least find amusing.
Kosmos G played in my band, the Disciples of Markos, for 10 years on baglama, accordion and violin.
Now, he's taken old Rebetika songs and re-imagined them in a new way.

cheers!

This is amazing!  It´s got the gritty thing and the otherworldness and all that fierceness.

Where can I buy one?

Geia sou Dave!  Ok, this explains much!  I always wanted to play jazz, I even started playing contrabass as a student, but never went any really further, the bouzouki absorbed me....

I think Elektrik Teke has some moments that fall under the "trip hop" category...

Well, we still have quite a few rebetika specialists here... (but too much junk too, on the other side!)
