hashish songs

some of you may recall that a couple years ago we began translating
songs from the book HASHISH REBETIKA by Suzanne Aulin and Peter
Vejleskov.
The lyrics were located on the Walrus' website (http://www.doctor-
dark.webspace.virginmedia.com/rebetiko/hasiklidika/SongsA.html) and
the mp3s were hosted on my website.
Unfortunately, I'm running out of bandwidth and will be removing these
soon.

Is there anybody in this group that would be interested in finding a
place to host the mp3s? Maybe someone has some web space they're not
using or can locate a free server.

Hi Dave

We could set this up as a tumblr....nice and easy and run the the
lyrics with the mp3s....

I'll check on bandwidthy things and get back to you...

I beg your pardon... but in order to access The Walrus' site one has to
be subscribed to BT Yahoo? I always get a log-in page...

Same here.....re lyrics....

I'm happy to move the mp3s to here: hashishrebetika.tumblr.com....but
I can only post one audio file a day...so it will take me a month or
so to get it all uploaded...and it should be able to handle the
traffic quite easily (except when my niece and her buddies get all
giddy over Glee)...and it's free.

Dave...if you have text files with the lyrics, could you e-mail them
to me and I'll upload together with the mp3?

For the lyrics, try accessing Walrus' website from the homepage:

Click rebetiko, then Arghile Mou.

another option would be to link the lyrics to youtube clips...anyway,
I'm gong to remove them from my site in a week or so.
