Canada Post Mailbox: Finance an International Crime

On Friday November 6 TH, Bob gave "The Hit" a ride to the Vancouver
International Airport (YVR). "The Hit" check in for his flight while
he elected to carry on his upper rack sized bag with wheels. "The
Hit" preferred to travel light on his flights, and he wheeled his bag
through customs. He found his gate for flight AC 550 on Air Canada
too Phoenix Sky Harbor International in Arizona. "The Hit" bought a
Starbucks in the International Gate services area, before he boarded
flight AC 550 at 07:15 in the morning for breakfast en route to
Phoenix. "The Hit" didn't think Jimmy The Junkie and his Crew would
follow because of their criminal records, however he was not sure if
the Mysterious Financier would finance an international crime on a
flight into the United States. "The Hit" boarded Onlineglass-com's
first international flight, as soon as the preferred and disabled
boarding calls were completed. He sized up as many of the Air Canada
passengers as possible while boarding, and he started noticing their
jackets, clothing, stature, and little things which would help him
recognize them were he being followed by the Mysterious Financier.

"The Hit" went to the United Airlines counter expressing his problem
after his routine check of the Gate area. He realized the passengers
were all gone now. He found a United Airlines ticket booth, and he
complained. He found himself complaining with the two blond people in
the bar. The United Airline staff put up a good fight, but after
confirmation there had been no notifications on the airport speakers.
They made their routine checks, and they were able to put "The Hit" on
another flight in Terminal 4 in Phoenix. "The Hit" was able to get on
the 16:00 hour flight on US Airways for the non stop flight to
Philadelphia to arrive at 22:19 local time with the blond tagger
following along. "The Hit" had phoned ahead during the delay to let
Bill know that he was not on the original schedule so he should not
pick him up at the airport, so he took the $40.oo dollar cab ride from
the airport to the Westin Hotel where Bill had reserved a room in
Philadelphia.

Victoria & Venebles: Rescue The Rocky Ridge Ranch

In Saskatoon during the Winter of 1980, Harvey's Run continued to
Watrous with "The Hit's" mother. They spent the winter and summer in
Watrous. Leo finished his Heavy Duty Mechanics course at Kelsey in
March 1980, then he moved to St. Brieux where he found a job working
at Bourgaut Industries. Leo decided that he wanted to stay at the
Rocky Ridge Ranch, and he was building the Rocky Ridge Ranch back up
on the weekends. Leo agreed to buy "The Hit's" portion of the Rocky
Ridge Ranch which he inherited in his mother's divorce with the town
drunk. Leo agreed to see the St. Brieux Credit Union to borrow the
money. Meanwhile in Saskatoon, Randy Piatte from St. Brieux came by
"The Hit's" place on the Eastside of Saskatoon. Randy brought "The
Hit" over to see a few of his new friends in Saskatoon. "The Hit" who
had stayed to himself for two winters in Saskatoon met Pat, Dan, and
Rob Collins through Randy in the spring before he had completed his
classes in April 1980 at the University of Saskatchewan.

In Saskatoon, "The Hit" finished his courses at the University of
Saskatchewan, and Leo got his loan at the St. Brieux Credit Union.
"The Hit" had been looking at several places, and he chose a mobile
home in Star Trailer Court on Idlewild & Circle Drive in Saskatoon.
The mobile home was a 3 bedroom, kitchen, living room, washroom, and
laundry area. Leo paid "The Hit" $10,000.00 for his share of the
land, and "The Hit" paid $10,000.00 for the mobile home. This left
"The Hit" with nothing left after the lawyer put the check trough the
account for the trailer. "The Hit" needed money, and he needed a job
quick. He talked to Pat, Dan, and Rob about renting the trailer for
the summer. They decided to give it a try for the summer as "The Hit"
went to St. Brieux to start a job in St. Brieux. "The Hit" didn't
have the cash to get to Lloydminster to get his RD 400 from the Yamaha
in Lloydminster, so he took the bus to St. Brieux. He started working
for Tim Woods at his apiary at the end of April 1980.

Humboldt: Crazy?

The summer of 1980 went quickly. Leo left "The Hit" live on the Rocky
Ridge, and working in Pathlow on the apiary was a learning
experience. They are tame bees, but the don't like loosing their
honey, either. It takes about 50 trips for the bee to make one
teaspoon of honey, and they have an issue with loosing their honey.
The bee beards you might have seen on Television are interesting.
But, the bees are just going to a queen. The bees are happy! We all
need a queen. The bees are not so happy when you steal their honey.
The stolen crates from the hive are heavy with honey. "The Hit"
carried 30 - 80 pound crates to the flatbed truck and trailer as the
wild flowers, Alfalfa, and Canola gave up their honey to the
protective little bees. The bees worked. It's interesting that many
honey bees don't make it home because they wear the outer edges of
their wings off after 3 - 4 weeks during peak honey time .
Eventually, they just don't make it home with a little more honey.
Fall approached in the apiary as "The Hit" approached moving day in
Burnaby.

The fall approached in Pathlow in 1980, as Tim & "The Hit" man handled
282 45 Gallon barrels full of honey into the Saskatchewan Co-op Semi
Trailer. It had been a learning experience, and "The Hit" could
handle a full barrel of honey weighing 600 pounds. "The Hit" was
happy to see the end of the season, as he prepared himself to appear
in court for the impaired driving charge. Leo drove him into Melfort,
and "The Hit" decided what he was going to do! He had not saved as
much money as the previous year in Lloydminster, and he decided to
refuse to pay the fine. He appeared in court in Melfort, and he
pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to a fine. "The Hit" stood up after
his sentencing and refused to pay the fine stating the he "needed
every dime he had to continue University at the University of
Saskatoon in less than 2 weeks. There was a silence in the court.
The judge suggested payments, perhaps? "The Hit" stood firm. He said
"I'll go to jail".

Jack, Steve, Ray, and "The Hit" walked into the WISE house on Adanac.
There was regularly a row of bikes parked out front of the bar when
"The Hit" started Envirotech in the early 1990's. The dimly lit room
bar on the lower level was almost empty that Sunday afternoon. They
were stopped at the counter / bar on the way into the club. The door
man smiled with recognition, and "The Hit" felt that he knew his
picture. Ray asked if there was someone in the bar to sign the 4 of
them into the house. The door man walked over to the two men sitting
in the middle of the room. The two men looked over at Jack, Steve,
Ray and "The Hit". It was too far to hear their words, however the
stretched body language of the taller, darker haired man did not
appear to be defensive. The heavier blond man appeared to be doing
the talking. The counter man returned to his counter, and he said
there was no one to sign them into the house. "The Hit" felt mixed
with relief that today might not be the day to stand up in the
neighbourhood, and he wondered if the two of them had a vested
interest in not letting the 4 of them into the bar.

The steel Warships in Reserve Basin may have been active in the Korean
War from 1950-53 when the United States chose to get involved between
North and South Korea, and the American glory and killing included
over 36,600 US military. While losing or fighting to a standstill in
Korea in 1950-1953, President Truman ordered the US Seventh Fleet
between Korea and mainland China. In 1954-1955 America occupied China
as naval units evacuated US civilians and military personnel
(Intelligence) from the Tachen Islands. The Americans had barely
buried their dead when they started their meddling in Vietnam by
sending military advisors into Vietnam on February 12 1955. Meddling
takes time to create problems, and America occupied Egypt in 1956 with
a marine battalion to evacuate US nationals and other persons
(Military Advisors) from Alexandria during the Suez crisis. American
foreign policy in the Middle East had heated up the entire region
since the end of WWII. The strategically placed meddling surfaced
again in Lebanon in 1958 as Marines landed in Lebanon by order of the
American President. The action was supported by a Congressional
resolution passed in 1957 that authorized such actions in that area of
the world (Middle East). "The Hit" remembered something he had read
about at the University of Saskatchewan. American Foreign policy in
the Middle East was designed to destabilize.

more detailed. Since, Calvin Godart was a RCMP officer in Abbotsford
in 1997, Leo asked him for help in contacting "The Hit". Calvin
explained in the voice mail that he was trying to contact "The Hit"
for Leo. "The Hit" was relieved that was why Calvin had tracked him
down at N Ranalagh Avenue in Burnaby. "The Hit" phoned Calvin to
thank him for the message. Once again, he ended up at the front desk
which transferred his call to Calvin's office. The phone rang through
a few times, and once again "The Hit" ended up in voicemail. "The
Hit" left a message for Calvin, which included his thanks for his
efforts in finding "The Hit". He promised to contact Leo in St.
Brieux. While, Calvin and "The Hit" made two calls each, they
exchanged messages while never actually speaking to each other
directly. The CFL game began on the television computer in the
computer room guarded by a camera.

Sawed Off Shotgun: Billy Miner

The end of November 1980 started to see "The Hit" tiring of the fast
lane. In one of the quiet moments in the afternoon, "The Hit" had a
conversation with Penny. He just asked her what she was doing. "The
Hit" was starting to think that life was not just a party, and he
asked her just where she thought she was going. He knew she was
living the fast lane to hard, and he just point blank asked her who
she was? Where do you come from? What does your family think? He
got answers that day. Her name was Barb Miner from Nelson BC. "The
Hit" asked the obvious question. Were you related to Billy Miner the
train robber. She said no. "The Hit" enjoyed their talk, and he
believed her. While, they never had sex. While, they did socialize.
While, they partied to much. They were starting to move apart in
their own ways for their own reasons. Life is a remarkable series of
twists at times. Sometimes, one wonders if life is linear at all?
"The Hit" was putting an end to the parties. Meanwhile on Commercial
Drive Paul was getting a disability / pension check at the beginning
of May of 1998, and he was cool about it not telling anyone about the
shotgun.

In Saskatoon, January began with "The Hit" leaving Melanie. Donny did
not come back from Bellevue until late in January because he was short
of money. Penny dropped by with Wayne Seroka and Frog in the 2nd week
of January. There was no party and "The Hit" and Wayne managed to get
along well as they drank a bottle of Whisky with Penny and Frog. The
place was clean and there was not a parties in early January 1981 when
they had a quiet night with the music low for the neighbours. "The
Hit" showed them the gun, and he said he just wanted things quiet. He
just wanted to be left alone. Wayne brought the bottle and they
talked things out that night. The evening went well, and "The Hit"
showed respect to Penny, Wayne and Frog. "The Hit" hoped they were
finished with their problems. They had a good quiet night having a
few drinks. It was good. It was not a party. It was just a few
people getting together for a drink.

Conspiracy to Commit Murder: Balcony

In the third week of May 1998, the strangest thing happened one night
when David and "The Hit" were on 1 1st level balcony smoking a joint
after going over business regarding Onlineglass.com. A man "The Hit"
did not know came into the house using the front door on Victoria
Drive. He walked up the stairs right past them to Paul's door. They
could see him knock on Paul's door through the window in the door.
David and "The Hit" watched this 5' 10 " - 5 11" blond stocky man
talking to Paul. It was starting to get dark, and the traffic on the
street was at a minimum. While it was difficult to hear through the
door, this man appeared to be asking about "The Hit's" whereabouts.
Paul points to "The Hit" suite the suite across the hall. Then Paul
warned him about the shotgun, and Paul added that "The Hit" had added
a lock. There was some more talk about keys, and this man gave Paul a
small pizza he was carrying. Then the man walked back down the stairs
past the door where David and "The Hit" were listening. It was
starting to look like Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and the Clan from
Clavet had set up the Hell's Angels or the Cartel, successfully.

While making holiday plans with MJ at the end of the first week of
December in 1997, MJ said they wanted a CD Player for their home
computer. MJ wanted to buy a CD Player to upgrade their computer.
"The Hit" decided to build them a computer as a family gift. "The
Hit" did not care that Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and the Mysterious
Financier would watch him spend the money from his fathers estate. He
used the St. Brieux Credit Union debit card to buy the computer. Bob
helped Santa Claus by picking up a computer case, power supply,
motherboard, memory, CPU, CPU Fan, Video Card, Floppy, Keyboard,
Mouse, and CD Player at Wes Micro in Richmond. Bob dropped off the
parts at N Ranalagh in Burnaby, and "The Hit" assembled the computer
before he installed Microsoft Windows 98. "The Hit" reasoned that the
new CPU would make a good family gift. Then, he thought Santa might
need a little help with a personal gift for Cayla?

The VIA clerk handed the ticket to "The Hit" with a smile, while he
was pondering what Jimmy The Junkie, his Crew, and the "Mysterious
Financier" might have said to the Vancouver Chapter of the Hell's
Angels in October of 1997 when they had the note. "The Hit" does not
know what they told them that fateful day. "The Hit" hoped they might
some day have the chance to understand what they were told during the
late part of 1997 from people they knew well. "The Hit" hoped the
boys would eventually understand what they knew during these fateful
days. "The Hit" was starting to hold out little hope. He knew he was
in trouble. What would you do at this point? Could it be that he was
right in the "Mysterious Financier" having some connection to
Saskatoon Saskatchewan in the early 1980's. He started to worry more
about his family than his own life. He paid for the ticket.

New Westminster, Coquitlam, and Surrey floated by the windows on both
sides of the Skyline Lounge, before "The Hit" ordered another beer.
The Fraser Valley looked different from the train tracks, and the
scenery was changing to darkness as The Canadian Train worked it's way
through less populated areas around Pit Meadows, Maple Ridge, and Fort
Langley. "The Hit" had hoped Jimmy The Junkie, Little Mike, Mike,
Jeff and their Mysterious Financier would not follow him to Saskatoon,
however as he sat in the Skyline Lounge he noticed a few repetitive
faces as The Canadian Train approached Mission at 20:05 to load more
passengers. The question that kept nagging "The Hit" was who was the
Mysterious Financier, and why was the Mysterious Financier going
through all this effort? Why not just kill him? Why keep following
him today through the Pacific region into the Rocky Mountains. What
kept Jimmy The Junky and his Crew joined at the hip with the
Mysterious Financier?
