im working on a video game project,
doing audio/music.
the lead programmer sent me some
voice recordings to be used in the game
they want these (female) voice samples
to be used for the "tutorials on how to play the game"
to sound Robotic/computerish-think HAL from 2010,
the master computer from iRobot etc

what would you guys suggest?
i have them as wave files, working on
getting all the noise out of them 1st
they didnt record them very well,
but as far as processing/effecting...what would you suggest?

I'd agree about using the vocoder--you can pick any sound you want
(probably a synth) to modulate the voice.

you might also using a compressor and a scream on the voice, trying
the digital or modulate settings.

remember you can also use the filters on a Maelstrom to effect the
voice by patching the audio through there...
