Hi everyone,
I hope you have had a great summer. It's nearly time to return to university which means that it's time to start planning our O-week stall. We need volunteers to answer people's questions and talk about the club to potential new members. Don't worry if you are not sure what to say, help will be provided (and probably tasty treats too). Even if you can only spare a small amount of time, your help is still greatly appreciated. You can indicate your availability on this poll here:

We also need a gazebo for O-Week to protect us from the finicky Auckland weather. If you can lend us one for the week, that would be greatly appreciated. Email us or let us know via the facebook group.
We are also having a Flier Design Day on Thursday 23 February from 11am-2pm in level 0 of the Kate Edgar Commons. Everyone is welcome, we'll have some fun and hopefully come up with some kick-ass fliers for 2012. The facebook event page is here:

Finally, because the senior members of RSS are pretty busy this year with theses and what-not, we need your help with organising meetings. If you have a cool idea that you would like to have a meeting about, now is your chance to do so. If you aren't sure how to go about it, you can email us here (or talk to Natasha via facebook) and we'll help you figure out what you need to do. It's a great opportunity to learn how to organise and conduct meetings and to participate in a great club.
Hopefully that's enough of an information dump for now. See you back on campus in semester one.
Yours,
Natasha
