Hey everyone
This week on Monday we have Prof. Cristian Calude from the UoA comp sci dept joining us to talk about quantum computing - e.g. what potential does it offer? And what are its limitations?
On Thursday we have a special guest, Prof. Sir Peter Gluckman (Chief Science Advisor to the Prime Minister, Fellow of the Royal Society etc) joining us to discuss the authority of science and the interaction between science and values. This meeting will be held in Case Room 1 (our normal Monday location), not our usual Thursday location.
So both meetings are in Case Room 1, Owen G. Glenn building, at 5pm.
Over the break we'll be discussing the global economic situation and watching a film, with no meetings on Thursdays.
Have a good week
Richard
