Hey everyone
Haven't really been using email much this year, but for anyone out of the Facebook loop (see link below to our group), our meetings this semester are on Tuesdays at 5 pm (until about 6:30 but it varies meeting to meeting; 6-7 pm end time). The room is in Arts 1 and is called 206-209 (building 206, room 209). We had our first proper meeting last week, and we have our first guest academic this evening -
Richard Easther
from the Physics Dept talking on fine-tuning. Next week we have Niki Harre from psychology talking about using psychology to make a better and more sustainable world, and on Sept 11 we have Robert Nola from philosophy, on free will and causality. We're also having a special one-off talk by visiting Professor Steve Keen from Australia, who is talking about the global economic crisis, flaws in current economic thinking, and the New Zealand economy. This is on Sept 7, Friday - 6 pm in OGGB4.
Also check out our YouTube channel (link also below) for the latest videos from this year. If you're not involved with RSS anymore you can always unsubscribe at the Google Groups link below.
Cheers
Richard
