The 4.8 branch is not yet quite ready for RC testing. I will post back here when that is good to go.

I think the 4.8 branch is good to test. Please post back to this thread with feedback after you've tried it out.

Thanks,
Tom

Hello - I just installed Reason 4.8. A couple things:

1. Since the repo is now reasoncms the references to reason_package in the README and install.sh file (and probably elsewhere) don't make sense unless you rename the folder reason_package which isn't intuitive to a new user. I think this should be added to the docs maybe - rename the folder reasoncms to reason_package. I created a pull request with this change.

2. I got some errors in the setup script about userid not found when trying to create a relationship. I'm not sure if these issues had an impact or not as I seem to be able to login just fine:

I create a base site just fine and haven't gotten any further yet!

Nate,
Thanks for taking a look. I merged in you doc PR yesterday, thanks for that.

The notices that you saw might be caused by how I setup the 4.8 SQL seed database. The admin user is removed from it so that setup.php can create the admin user and password on first run. I don't see any issues with the notices but I will try to rerun the setup with a fresh database to see what the code in admin_actions.php is trying to do.

Please let me know if you see anything else interesting in your testing.

Thanks again,
Tom

All,
Version 4.8 has been tagged. master and develop branches are currently functionally identical and correspond the 4.8 release commit.

This code is in use in a production environment with no issues. Please let us know if you try it.

Thanks,
Tom
