Page type for separating faculty/staff by category

Greetings,

I vaguely remembered we once discussed this at a Hack/Doc many decades ago about the possibility of utilizing categories to separate faculty/staff on different pages. Right now we utilize the volunteer/other page type when wanting to do this, but it's often difficult to update all this information manually.

So my question is if Carleton ever made this functionality/page type to separate faculty/staff by category, just so before I assign one of our student programmers to look into this, that it doesn't exist already.

We haven't done that -- so far we've only grouped people by affiliation (e.g. faculty vs. staff), not by other categories.
