Halo, all!

Dan Barker's article "Patriotism Was His Religion" was included in the
latest Carnival of the Godless here: http://skepticrant.blogspot.com/.

This week we published:

"Dissection Puzzle" by Albert Frank. I haven't solved it but I think I
can get it done with just a few more distraction free hours.

"Speculations on the Brains and Minds of Cetaceans" by Huntley Ingalls.
I knew those beluga whales at the Vancouver Zoo were inside my head.
With their crafty splashing and ear-pearcing screams directed at me.

"Bedtime Story: George and the Chosen Prions" by Richard May. PSA: if you
know what's good for you then you'd be president and likely vote
republican. But progress takes faith which luckily is monopolized by the
republians. Don't think, vote republican this November, USA americans.

"Pop War" by Sean J. Vaughan. Another good reason to vote republican:
they're culturaled.

"A Bostonian in Buffalo" by Richard May. So many questions. The answers
are in Buffalo.

"Living in Postmodern Times" by Brian Schwartz. There really should be a
football team (american football, of course) with The Greeks as their
mascot. They would have appreciated that. The Tennessee Titans don't
count.

"Don't Be Just Another Statistic" by Fred Vaughan. Favorite bumper
sticker: Gun Control is a Steady Hand.

"Real Life" by Brian Schwartz. I never give out my real astrological sign
at bars but my myspace url...ok.

"Life at Crawpappy's Bar is better than a Mastercard commercial" by Brian
Schwartz. Brian, when you make your way up to Seattle sometime, we MUST
go out for a beer. No pressure, though, stay cool.

"It's Only Natural" by Dan Barker. A twitterpating new agnostic/atheist
pop love song.

"The young woman and the sea" by Maria Claudia Faverio. This beautiful
poem really calmed me this week. Thanks, Maria! My zen name is "Hae
Song" which mean "Ocean Nature", btw. Stupid beluga whale cousins picking
on me.

"Puzzle" by Staffan A. Svensson. I printed this out at work Friday but
left it on the printer. I think I was distracted thinking outside the
box.

"Bardo of Buffalo: Why No One From Buffalo Goes To Hell" by Richard May.
Exactly how could one tire of football games and chicken wings? Ok, maybe
slugs can. I wouldn't call them american slugs, then.

"Paradise Emporium" by C. L. Frost. Some friends and I are planning to
"camp out" until the Nintendo Wii is released at midnight, November 19th.
Yes, I'm too old to be waiting in line for hours to purchase a product
dubbed "wii". But it's going to be soooo cool!

Carrick's last soccer (no, not football. Carrick won't play football until
Jr. High ;) ) game was yesterday and they tied! If you put the ties
before the losses and wins they were 3-7-0: all in all a pretty canadian
year for them. He had a great time this year and they were a competitve
team; it was all good.

ttyl,
