I only can think of causes that may create this problem, one being a person inadvertently saved their flight planning program with your tail number and does not verify the entry when they file OR coincidently on two different flights when they file maybe with FSS a typo OR a typo when ATC entered the data into the system (popup IFR).
When I file, sometimes I get identified as a Sierra rather then a Sundowner even though I use BE23, so instead of constantly correcting ATC (I usually correct the first mis-identification and thank them for the upgrade), I just enjoy the good sounds of being a BE24 at the price of a BE23.
Hello, today I saw my turtle tank had turned red. I looked in and took the 2 turtles out of the water (red-eared sliders) I saw that my female was bleeding from the small hole underneath her tail. The blood looked coagulated and stringy. I had never seen this before. I had seen the small male bite at her a few times, and she sometimes bites back at him, but neither caused bleeding. Today is the first day I have witnessed this, and I want to catch anything early. Thank you, please repsond.
Is she bleeding now? Can you post a pic? Does she have a bite? You may want to separate them if they continue biting each other. Have you checked they medical gallery? This is advice on how to treat a bite, but if you aren't sure it's a bite, you may want to post pics!
Clean the injured area with clean water. Disinfect the area with iodine or betadine. Treat with Silvadene (Silver Sulfadiazine), Neosporin or triple action antibiotic. Let turtle be dry for about an hour after treatment. Place in separate tank with clean water. You can add StressCoat for fish as it assists in the healing process. Treat this way daily for about 2 weeks or so.
Thanks, but I don't think it's a bite. The bleeding came from within the cloeca/anus and no, she is not bleeding now. I do not own a digital camera, so I can't post a picture. The cloeca/anus, which used to be a slit, is now enlarged into a hole in the tail. The bleeding has only occurred once, and that was about 2 hours ago. Please reply.
She is about 7-9 inches from head to tail, and she is not digging, but I do realize that she has been experiencing some irritation in her left eye as well (I don't know if it is related or not to the bleeding) and our male turtle has been trying to court (the rapid nail vibration upon her face.) She seems rather uncomfortable, but my dad just went to bed and I really can't move the turtles for my lack of experience, but if you have any other ideas, please throw them out. Thank you, please respond. (as you can tell I'm desperate for help at almost 12am...)
I would definitely separate the turtles. Bleeding is never a good sign, and the bleeding turtle should go see the vet to determine the cause. All we can do is take guesses without pictures, and you need a definite answer. I strongly urge you to separate them, as further injury could occur, and the injured turtle should be kept alone and observed. There are so many things this could be, but a vet can tell you for certain.
She may be trying to pass something sharp that she swallowed. If that is the problem I don't know what to do to help.... The thought did cross my mind though that perhaps your female is a male, that the fanning was actually a dominant display and that his penis has been bitten.... Either way I would make sure that the turtles are seperated, that your water is very very clean and that the turtle does not get cold.
thanks for the ideas, but I am fairly sure that she is female, because once when I got home from baseball practice, there were eggs in the tank, and the one that I thought was a male was biting at them, not the one that has been bleeding. That's why I thought she was female. The turtles have been seperated, no more bleeding has occurred, but the what-I-think-is the female is just basking and resting.
Ok, the turtles have officially been seperated, and no further mishaps have occurred since about 8 hours ago. I'm still keeping a close watch, and I'll let you all know how it turns out. Thank you all for being so helpful.
My favorite autumn/winter outfit is a long shirt worn under a cute sweater, with shirt tails hanging past the sweater. I always have a huge problem buying shirts or blouses. They never fit, unless they are tailored, since my upper and lower body have odd measurements.
I came up with this method of cutting the shirttails off and sewing them onto a vest that I can wear under a sweater. That way I'm removing all the extra bulk from the top of my outfit, and I'm able to control how long my shirt tails are. Another benefit of this method is that I no longer have to buy specially made shirts, I either buy woman's or man's shirt big enough to fit my hips and don't have to worry about the rest of the shirt. I often go on a hunt in vintage and second hand stores to find unique shirts to convert them. This crafty trick can be used by anyone, but it's particularly helpful to women with hourglass, pear and cone body type, as well as really tall women who have trouble finding long enough shirts.
I'm not much of a seamstress, so I have no idea if there is some special method of pinning stretchy fabric to regular fabric without help from someone else, but I had to do it without help a few times and I used some weird methods. I used large, strong paperclips to clip the fabric to something like a table or a desk. I stapled one side to a piece of wood, stretched the material taut and stapled the other side.

We spent over a year in R&D, design, and testing to bring you this innovative component that no other company dared to make. This part is made specifically to fit with the TST Industries In-Tail LED Integrated Tail Light and makes the rear of your bike look finished and sexy like a Moto GP machine. We scanned the OEM geometry of the tail and subframe with extreme precision and made our undertail panel to fit like an OEM part. All the body lines of the tail, as well as the taillight, are carried through into the undertail design. The parts are heat and pressure cured then top-coated with a UV stabilized clear that will not yellow. Using our instructions, just about anyone can install this part in their garage so there's no need to hassle with a dealer or shop installation.
The exhausts available for the CBR600RR vary in hanging hardware and mounting points. Therefore, the undertails have to be trimmed where the exhaust mounts to the subframe. You can purchase an uncut version that you will need to trim yourself (dremel and file works well with a steady hand).
Selling a "Barn Find". The infamous Wolf Under Tail exhaust for the 5 Gen VFR. I don't have much details on this kit other than I'm not 100% all the parts and pieces to mount it are here. In fact, the under tail piece was given to me by fellow forum member 'vfrcapn', who happened to have the piece.. If you're adventurous and have some mechanical ability, it might be worth grabbing. I do have the installation instructions but would definitely say it will require some ingenuity to get it in place. This is being sold "as-is" but the parts appear to be in good condition. Going to set the price at $600 plus shipping but would be open to negotiations. Shipping would be from Anaheim, CA.
