Here we are at B. This could be more about my best blue blasts as well as the big blues names. There have been some remarkable artists that we have seen as well as some great new talents and a wonderful melding of cultures all brought about by music.
Bo Diddley has followed me through my life at different stages. (or maybe I followed him) From the beer soaked floor of the Patch in Coolangatta to seeing his cigar box at Bluesfest, again, another never to be repeated moment.
To me the best Australian Blues Band has to be The Backsliders. Dom Turner has done his time in the Mississippi and interviewed the best. He has played with Phil Wiggins and let his guitar stroke your soul. When he teams up with Rob Hirst and local harp legends (from Jim Conway to Ian Collard) the stage jumps and the audience is in awe of an Australian blues band that can mix it with the best.

The Blue Angel Colorful Edition is very easy to throw and catch and has a great hover. Blue Angel Boomerangs have an extremely consistent return rate and are fun to throw. They make great birthday presents for any kids approximately 10 years old or adults who just want an easy to throw returning boomerang. Please note that colors and patterns may vary. Make sure to select a Right handed or Left handed boomerang.
I had a boomerang a few years back and lost it on a roof, but my desire to get another never died. This is definitely a good place to get authentic boomerangs of all styles and this one in particular is light and strong. Definitely worth it
My 4-year-old grandson had seen videos and cartoons of boomerangs, so I decided to buy one for him. Having been to Australia decades ago and buying one there, I never quite mastered the throw. So, I bought this one for him on this site and I have had pretty good success with it. My grandson still needs to "grow into it", but he is thrilled with the challenge and asks me regularly to go to the park to throw it with him.
I like a far throwing rang, and this delivers. Can be a little fickle in the wind but can be tuned pretty well. I like a more circular flight, but this can also be adjusted with tuning and layover, but it isn't a rang you're going to catch every time, but that's ok with me. I bought it for exercise because I am either sitting behind the computer monitor doing takeoffs or sitting behind the wheel going to do takeoffs, so a little walking to pick it up 5 or 6 times outta 10 ain't a bad thing. I'm not a pro or even approach that level, but 50percent catch rate for me is fine. I'd like to find one that goes even further than the50 to 60 yards I can get outta this, but I do like the Kilimanjaro quite well. Had the lazy hook before and LOVED it. Lighter and faster and a tad more consistent in catching. Easier to throw for long periods. Will be getting another lazy hook for sure. All in all, this is a good rang for strong arms and I got that. Just saying. BUY IT DAMMIT!
It took me about two hours to catch it correctly. I'm still learning, but it's important to have a lot of clearance, this boomerang can actually fly much further than you could think.
It's very windy here this season, so I have to adjust the angle of inclination, but it will surely be much more fun to use when the wind here goes away. I would recommend it for adults as I found that you need to throw it with a little more force to get it to come back to where you are. It feels durable (I use it in a grassy area)
I first started buying boomerangs, handmade, real wood from Colorado Boomerangs hand signed and dated by Jim Mayfield in 1990. The last two boomerangs, not inexpensive by the way, are plastic. They must be thrown in less wind and I would not recommend this and the other boomerang, also made of plastic that I bought. The quality, feel, of these May 2024 boomerangs is super disappointing.
Overall beautiful carbon fiber cross boomerang love the way it looks just a little smaller then expected, hard to get the hang of it then the other ones I purchased but with a little practice it comes back great!
Our last evening in Sydney, we dined at an excellent seafood restaurant in The Rocks section of town. As we were finishing, we asked our waiter if he knew of any shop that sold boomerangs because we wanted to bring some home for our grandchildren. He said that it was unlikely that we would find any for sale anywhere in the country. We were given a mini lecture on the impropriety of even attempting to purchase them. He explained that it would be akin to coming to the US and looking to buy a Native American head dress. At first, we felt so embarrassed that we had even thought of committing such a cultural faux pas, but we soon recovered and resolved to get a second opinion. We found it rather hard to believe that the mere act of purchasing one could be so disrespectful to the Aboriginal culture. We were just thinking of boomerangs as Australian icons and never considered them in any way disrespectful of anyone.
Not far out of Sydney while traveling to the Blue Mountains, we stopped for lunch and found a couple of boomerangs for sale, so we quickly purchased them. The next day, we found even more that were also made by Aboriginals in Australia. Even though we were happy to have found them, we still did not want to be insensitive, so with much trepidation, I asked Cindy about it when she finished her presentation. I was honestly afraid I would offend her just by asking about it. She quickly blew off any notion of impropriety and said no one would be offended by our purchasing the boomerangs, which made it all the more interesting to find out about the different types and uses for boomerangs. Cindy actually suggested that we watch some scenes from Crocodile Dundee to see a boomerang being thrown.

The upgraded form of the boomerang can also be obtained in a couple of ways. One is to use the Waterfall of Wishing near the entrance to Zora's Domain. Throw the boomerang into the pond and a Fairy will come up and give Link the red boomerang. Another way to acquire it is the chest in the Doorless Hut in the Village of Outcasts. However, to get the red boomerang here, Link must not already have gotten the blue boomerang. Otherwise, the chest in the Doorless Hut will have 300 rupees.
It can collect drops such as rupees, arrows, bombs, fairies, keys, etc. and pull them to Link. A strange glitch with recovery hearts can happen sometimes where if Link pulls them to him with the boomerang, two hearts may be recovered instead of just one. Also, small keys which require the Pegasus Boots to knock down (such as the torch keys in Desert Palace and Ganon's Tower) are unable to be collected with the boomerang.
