Hi

The .dae support is still a fairly little tested feature and it would
be interesting to hear more details about your issue. You can email
directly to sup...@meshmoon.com if you have questions, our techs will
look into it. If possible, you can also (and it's probably
recommendable to do so anyway at the moment) you can export the .dae
files as OGRE from for example Blender.

If you haven't already, I'd suggest checking out the tutorial videos
and other material at http://www.meshmoon.com/Help.aspx , especially
the "From Blender to Meshmoon" videos might be useful. Also as I
suggested earlier, it's probably best to contact the Meshmoon support,
since that way you can reach the people behind the hosting system
infrastructure. This topic is probably best used to discuss the .dae
support of the realXtend Tundra platform specifically (and it would be
interesting to get feedback from the other developers as well).

Thank you for your interest in Meshmoon, contact us at
sup...@meshmoon.com and we'll do our best to get it to work for you.

Dear Antii,

Thank you for your quick response and providing me with an update of the status of COLLADA upload into Meshmoon. It's appreciated.

I attempted to "drag & drop" several high quality COLLADA objects into Meshroom. Meshroom did not accept or respond to any of the objects. There was no rejection notice or any feedback.

I was wondering if you have any plans on when the "drag & drop" of COLLADA objects might be added to realXtend or Meshmoon?

Thank you,
Mike Gale

Hi

In principle the collada export should or at least could work, if
there are problems we'd like to know what they are. Have you tried
with ogre assets to see if there is some problem with the upload
itself? Also I suggest contacting the sup...@meshmoon.com for more
in-depth assistance (if you haven't done so already).

Currently there seems to be no drag-and-drop support for COLLADA files so one must create the entities manually. Basically what you need is Entity with Placeable and Mesh components and the set the meshRef attribute of the Mesh component to point to the desired content file. See AssImpDemoScene for example (run Tundra --file scenes/ AssImpDemoScene/scene.txml).

This is why I say the core is still not finished. We need an easier way to get and manipulate content within Tundra.

Luckily the Tundra(/Meshmoon) documentation is gotten some attention from Adminotech lately:
-video tutorials concentrating on content creation and manipulation http://www.youtube.com/user/Adminomedia
-script documentation and examples: http://doc.meshmoon.com/
