The realtime gadget API interests me - it would impact directly on
something I want to do. And getting it to work in the sandbox is
ridiculously easy. BUT - how do you get it to work outside the
sandbox? There is no "Send Application" option in the google talk
gadget that I can see...

You're correct, the sandbox is meant as a preview of the API. We'll enable it in other sites that support Google Talk soon - orkut within the next quarter, then iGoogle after that.
