Hi Everyone,

i wonder whether anyone here already have a window 8 machine set up??

Do you think it is a good idea to have one shared windows 8 for testing your application before  deployment??

Well, you can simply use VMWare to setup a new virtual machine.
Download the test version from Microsoft and install it.

Search for Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation.

Of course!

what i mean setup something on the cloud or something and RB people can login, install the application and test it and remove if once done.

You'd probably get into all sorts of licensing issues if you did that, Trisha. Windows 8 is really cheap so why not just set up a VM for it like Christian suggested?

You can try of course.
But maybe better use bootcamp and not use a virtual machine.

Good luck!

Hi,

I can verify that Windows 8 installs and runs happily under BootCamp on
my old MacPro, but it takes over the reboot sequence somehow so that
earlier versions of Windows won't boot. I haven't solved the problem
yet, so I deleted Win8 and re-installed win7 which I need at the moment.

I would be interested to know if the same happens to someone else just
in case it is my peculiar boot system which is the problem!!

Regards,

Doug Neale
